So close, oh well. :( I'm not blaming the umps like a lot have firstly because I didn't think they were as bad as I've heard, and secondly because I think they've given us more favours over this year compared to stinkers.

6th place ain't bad for a team that has been in the dumps for the last 5 years. I think it's clear that this team has achieved one of it's preseason goals, and that was earning respect from the comp, Port's done that.

Another thing that was bought up when the finals were decided, was that Port were making up the numbers. That certainly isn't true either, Port pushed Geelong the whole way, amazing.

As was said in the TV ad made early in the year "It's not gonna be easy, AFL football never is. But one thing is for certain, we will never, ever give up. We Are Port Adelaide." So true. Amazing 2013 Port.

Now 2014, will Port get better? I hope so, but to be honest, I'm not expecting to be top 8, we did overachieve this season, it'll be interesting to see if it's backed up. Either way, team is on the up, not long until Port is an AFL powerhouse again hopefully! :D Keep our heads high Port supporters, even though we lost the AFL match today, our team is not going to stop stop stop until it's top top top!! :D

Terrific season so happy of the boys to bad we couldn't make it any further when a lot of people think just how we turned this year around, Not many people look out our list manager Jason Cripps when Chaplin and Pearce hinted they wanted out of Port Adelaide thats what all started our wonderful recruitment selection over the pre season.

With Chaplin and Pearce gone we were able to change our entire back line we focused more and more on the youth and that was shown by recruiting Lewis Stevenson (24), Campbell Heath (22) and Jack Hombsch alongside further the development of Jaspar Pittard (22), Cam O'Shea (21) and Tom Jonas (22)

It was only last year that Alipate Carlile was deemed unfit and overweight to be playing AFL and he was banished from the club until he got more fitter and at 26 it seemed that 2014 was going to be his final year at the club he turned his entire career around and was a major cog in pushing Port to the top 8.

Jackson Trengove was one of the reasons we went on that loosing streak after round 5, We missed him so much and we couldn't find anyone capable of replacing Trengove, At 22 years of age he is becoming one of our most important players in the side and has a bright future ahead.

Our midfield is becoming more and more dangerous especially with the recent additions of Oliver Wines and the emergence of Wingard and Moore to go with the already classy line up of Ebert, Boak, Hartlett, Cornes and Cassis/Broadbent both of which enjoyed times down back throughout the year.

Great season by the lads, thought that they could do it tonight.

+1

Well said, Moore looks to finally be finding his footing as a #8 (or #9 I get his and Butcher's pick numbers confused) hopefully Butcher can follow the same heuristic measures and we'll have another potential star tall forward to help out Schultz (who has been doing fine alone). Really looking forward to next year and I can comfortably say with Hinkley at the helm we'll be a certain top 8 team and maybe push for top 4 if we can improve as much next year as we did this season :) GO THE POWER!!!

I was quite sad on Friday night. We almost did it and totally knew they had it in them.
Sitting there again, in M2 as in 2007, I bordered on tears because it had come to an end but I didn't because I'm damn proud of this club, I stuck through all the shower unlike the other wagon jumpers and I know they now have the club culture right, coaches right and a great base of players which will draw players from over clubs.

It feels great again, to support the black white silver and teal.
