My other option is Hanley but he has a much tougher draw comparable to Birch so reckon I'll jump on the Birch train...

I'm getting him in next week purely because I've wanted him for ages (nearly started with him, got talked out of it) and I don't want to run the risk of waiting an extra week, only for carnage to strike and I might not be able to get him in at all. :P

Yeah, but weak teams don't necesarily mean they will dominate, like Jobe. But he was never known to be a flat track bully.

With Birch's style of play I can see a lot of +6's. Besides he is a top 6 back, might as well get him in soon rather than later  I suppose!

Yeah exactly. But the thing is, Birch just seems like the go-to man out of the Hawks' defense - if he isn't being closely checked by the opposition, he is the guy Hawks defenders will look to give the ball to, and I don't see this changing.

There is the potential for the trade to go pear-shaped, but we'll be paying bargain basement for him rather than a topped-out price of 530K or whatever. ;) And i think he should definitely be a top-6 back, so sooner is better than later to get him in!

Ah k. Welllll gettign Gibbs in would kinda defeat the purpose of trading him in the first place, cos if he doesn't play this week, he won't be bleeding dollars.

Scotland would be an okay choice but for some reason I am staying well clear of him, just don't really like him. :P

Hanley is one I am very keen on also, but think I might leave dollars in the bank so I can upgrade Terlich straight to him after Hanley's R11 bye, and before Terlich's R12 bye. ;) That way we can capitalise on Birchall's dream run, and get Pearce in with perfect timing!

Well, trading Gibbs got me an extra premo in Stanton.  ::)

I'm thinking I get Gibbs after the bye. Hasn't been pumping out superhuman scores so I don't think I need to prioritize him.

Not keen on Scotland, won't be getting any better and more upside in Hanley for sure.  :)

In your scenario, I'd look at either bringing in Birchall or Hanley. Can't go wrong with either.

Birchall has had the hard tag, but I mean, he has some easy games ahead as well.

Rate Hanley myself (Aiming to trade him in soon myself).
