So here's my drama, I'm in the top 500 and was looking at making up ground this week and am set on Gibbs to Scotland

The main issue is my mates have me worried about Heath ( I don't want to start a rumour or anything) because apparently he coped a knock late last week.

So my question is do I trade
1) Whitfield to birchall, leaving me with quality bench cover in each line but means I may struggle to get Stevie J next week as I'd be strapped for cash or
2) Whitfield to Stevie J, leaving me with no back cover this week but would allow me to get birchall next week assuming he drops slightly in value!!
3) any other options?

If heath is out, many people will also cop a donut so you won't fall behind but you will gain points by having stevie J as most people aren't upgrading this week.

You will also gain with birchall but may not get in stevie and you may lose 10ppg because of that so in the long run, option 2 may be better?

Cheers man, I worked out if stevie goes under 150 and wines and jones both hit 75 I can get stevie in next week and save the stress!! I do like the look of stevie though!

Yea i have Heath playing, with no emergency too.

I do remember Heath getting a knock in last weeks game, might be a little sore. Hopefully he'll be alright for this weeks match though.

From your options, I would go Stevie J over Birchall.

Birch has Adelaide(not a great scoring history), and swans next. I'm hoping he'll lose a bit of cash after that 151 is out of his 3-round average, (hopefully) after two games in the 70-80's or something :). But after that though, he does have, GWS, Gold Coast & Melbourne all in a row before his bye  :o

Johnson is slightly cheaper, but i reckon he'll stay around that price anyway. He also has a decent draw into the bye, and he KILLS weaker teams!  ;)

I got Johnson in this week too, looking to get Birch in either after he plays Syd, or after his bye.

I like that thinking but I don't know if I can risk a donut for 30k difference!! Now I looked at things.
Next week provided no selection surprises I'm thinking Johnson and vlastuin in so I hope jonno doesn't go huge this week! Adelaide are a lot worse than last year so hopefully he goes okay. Thanks for the advice!

No problem, at the end of the day, back your own gut because it was you who got into the top 500 in the first place. Good luck mate!

My guy hasn't been too great so far, picked roughie at the start expecting 100+ and then hawks play 3 rucks

Heath is one of the only backmen named this week, surely don't trade him

It's more if he's a late out but I don't think he will be but I'm being sucked in by my mates that he might be a late out

Really can't see him being a late out with Trengove and Pittard already out from their backline man.

Agree with this if Heath was going to be out this week I'm sure Port would've announced that Hombsch or Colquhoun (apologies for the spelling) would play their first game for the club! Good luck though man just go with your gut feeling!  ;)

I think now with this flowering Goddard talk I may reverse my trades again and grab birch!!!

yorgis

pretty sure Heath won't pull out , as Johnny Butcher and Sam Colquoun are travelling emergencies [both forwards]
