Which cows do we take to the slaughter-house first?

Our rookies seem to be playing immaculately well IMO. This week I am trading Kommer and Blicavs(assuming no other rookie of mine is dropped) to SJ and Mayes.

After this week, I have plans of bringing in Gawn, Docherty, Paporone, Dale Thomas, Buddy etc but have no idea which cows will have peaked seeing as so many of them still have very low (and mostly negative) break-evens. Here is a table of my rookies which will be left after this week and how their money making is going

What rookies of your are on the chopping block over the next few weeks as we begin to make ourselves a few sneaky upgrades?

This week Viney is leaving me. Next few weeks the power defenders will start going along with the forwards.

With a few failures, like Kruezer and Longer and getting rid of Zorko last week, I feel behind the 8-ball with cash generation.

Actually probably going to get Crouch and Mayes *IN* this week!

In the next fortnight, looking to get rid of two Port defenders (for Birchall and Hartlett). WIll allow me to have Goddard, Gibbs, Heppel, Goodes, Hartlett, Birchall.
My Fwd line is 100% semi-Premo or above (if you inc. Monfries and JJK)
My Rucks are Cox+Burger

So, two upgrades away from being able to improve my mids.

My mids need work... but, Wines -37, O'Meara 14, Crouch -48, Mayes -78, Kommer -5, Viney 29 (probably first to go) should still make more money for me.

There are a few players I wouldn't mind getting into my midfield, so I'm looking forward to that.

I'm starting next week with probably Viney and Caff, they will probably both just be straight downgrades and I'l start making rookie to premo trades the week after as I only have 44k

Viney, and also Stevenson/Neade.
They could all wait one more week(or more, depending on their next score).

But with two trades every week, if you can switch them to someone making more cash or scoring more points, then its worth culling some rooks earlier than others.

For me I'm looking at what rookies are scoring well in what position and how the premiums in that position are going as well.
I think Mayes could hold down an F6 spot for a while, the forwards aren't scoring great and I can't trust myself to bring in a Cloke or Hoff.
Wines can hold a M8 position, scoring brilliantly not much to be said
Goodes can hold a D6 position, DEF premiums are scoring really well but so is Goodes.

So those three will stay as will Terlich, Jones & Evans who will be benchies. This is because I lack RD 12 players and as long as they are playing it gives me good cover over the bye RDs. Apart from that all others (Pittard, Stevenson, Heath, O'Meara, Blicavs, Rowe, Caff, Neade & Dwyer) will all likely go. Then you've got Greene, Moloney & Zmith that will probably make way soon as well.

2 DEF premiums (Goddard + Hepp) 3 MID premiums (GAJ, Watson _____) 2 FWD premiums (Stevie J, Buddy) to be upgraded before the byes. $790k to start with next week :)

This week I'll be downgrading Viney to Evans (at this stage) and upgrading one of Stevenson or Neade.

Then next week I'll be looking to downgrade Blicavs to Gawn, leaving me enough to upgrade the one of Stevenson/Neade that I don't upgrade this week. :P
