I am considering trading Gary Ablett to Brent Moloney this week and then bringing him back next week to get rid of Lachie Whitfield. Ablett has only averaged 94.5 against Port Adelaide in his two matches for the Suns and his career average is 98 in 12 matches. He will definitely get tagged by Kane Cornes this week and he is only averaging 108 so far this season. His assistant coach projection is 112 which is still a good score, but you would be expecting 120+ given his price tag. Even if Ablett gets his projected score he will still lose $27,600 because of a huge breakeven and if Whitfield can hit his projected score of 62 he is set to increase by $30,900. I would be left with $71,300 next week and would have added an extra quality cash cow in Brent Moloney. The only risk is the potential points that I could lose which could be 50+. The only way I won’t be able to bring Ablett back next week is if he went up in price by $50,000 or if Whitfield lost $50,000.

yeah...

as you said... you risk losing 50 points....

I dont know if a couple of extra grand are worth like 50 points...

Its not about making money its about adding an extra quality cash cow that I can then trade to a underpriced premium. I currently have 13 premiums and 2 midpricers if I make the Ablett move I will have 13 premiums and 3 midpricers next week. I forgot to include that my other trade is Kreuzer to Goldstein so I can't just trade Whitfield to Moloney this week.

Im considering something similar, I already have Moloney, so im thinking of rolling the dice and going GAJ to Hodge, IF things carry on as they are it could be a straight swap back in about 3-4 weeks time and i'll have had $200k that ive been able to better utilise in that time... your points differential between GAJ and Hodge is likely to be less that it would be if you went the Moloney option...
At least till Hodge goes back to the repair shop....
