I didn't see the actual incident as I was chucking some kebabs on the grill, but my mate said apparently he elbowed whitfield in the face after he'd taken his kick from the mark, and knocked him to ground?

is that what happened? Can someone clarify, or give footage or something?

if it's what I heard, it'd be intentional, high contact and either medium/high impact... which would be like 5 weeks or something aye?

I reckon it's been exaggerated lad. Whitfield kicked it into the 50 and Jettas come in about half a second-3/4 of a second late and cleaned him. I reckon contact was close to inevitable but Jetta managed to leave his feet while doing so so he'll get a charging charge. It'd be a reprimand/1 week if he'd not left his feet but I'd say he'll get 2/3 tops.

He'd be unlucky to cop intentional, it was more reckless (but I reckon the MRP will go intentional) - medium impact too.

It really wasn't that bad - but the exact kind of incident that lads cop weeks for.

Ends up being offered 2 weeks. Amazingly the MRP actually did as expected for once.
