This one could be close. Not playing Roughy and having Waite cost us 96 points, gonna be gutted if we lose by that margin or less. Parker didn't do as well as we hoped and could have either been Nathan Jones or David Mundy who will play later today and probably produce something greater than Parker's effort. A big performance from Jelwood as captain is needed and hopefully Vossy doesn't ruin Rocky's score today.

Stokes won't let you down Ringo/EurAsia!
Thanks Purps - Going to the game as a Lions member will be torn a little as I need Johnson to ton up for my SC but not too much for the AAP, Hope Bartell has a shocker with Stokes stealing all his SC points.

Justin Bieber

Thanks Nigey :). Looking pretty tight but we have the points of the board. You would think if Redden can outdo JSel as captain, we should have enough of a lead to get the win. Although should be quite close as with the players left, it's anybody's game!

Haven't checked the calculations, and rounding still to come.... but....

(I'll update this all later in the week)

Eurasia
Ibbotson (98), Fyfe (131), Goldstein (104), Stokes (110) = 443
v
AAP
Hanley (46), Johnson (121), Bartel (104) + 56 points = 327.

NOW that is a massive upset in my eyes. AAP Alliance have the top 3 and 6 of the top 8 teams in the comp. Hurn's injury was crucial, but wouldn't have guarenteed the win!

Can't wait to write it up officially!

Well done Ringo and EurAsia!

Jukes

Congrats Ringo, great effort by the players.

Some big scores by the Moscow boys contributed a lot to this :P Fyfey 131, Heater 136, Griff 143, NicNat 114 and Dusty 95 played great.

CrowsFan

The pressure of the AAP job obviously too much for maca. Should have left it to a seasoned pro :P

*Note I know you can retort by saying I choked in the finals last year... and as such this was just a joke ;)

And a lad from the Sands is the worst performer (not counting Hurn who got injured and subbed).  ::)

Ibbotson gets revenge on Maca24

2012 Mexico City Premiership Player Garrick Ibbotson described it as a 'bitter sweet' sensation after being involved in EurAsia's upset victory over AAP Alliance. After being a crucial part of Mexico City's premiership last year, he was unceremoniously traded last year. Maca24, the coach of both Mexico City, and the AAP Alliance, has yet to comment.

EurAsia's upset was huge! And it was the back line that was the different with an early injury to Shannon Hurn basically forcing Mexico City to 14 players, while Pearce Hanley suffered an early knock. In comparison, Heath Shaw and Bryce Gibbs were magnificent for EurAsia.

AAP Alliance's midfield of Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury and Watson didn't disappoint! But it was the unsung heroics of Worlds medalist Patrick Dangerfield, the amazingly in form Ryan Griffenn and EurAsia captain Kieran Jack that was insprising.

Matthew Stokes has had a fairy tale year, with Berlin desperately trying to trade him at the end of season 2012. But he was terrific, while former EurAsia and current Brewer superstar Lance Franklin didn't make the team!

And final hats off to London and EurAsia coach is Ringo! Inspiring his team to a massive 183, and made the ballsy choice of not selecting a single Royal in the final 15!

AAP Alliance (25.22.172) lost to EurAsia (27.21.183)

Best
AAP Alliance: D Swan, G Ablett jnr, S Pendlebury, J Watson, B Goddard, S Johnson, D Cox, JP Kennedy, J Bartel

EURASIA WINS

P DANGERFIELD wins the WORLDS MEDAL and the EURASIA MEDAL
D SWAN wins the AAP ALLIANCE MEDAL

Internationals off the Planet

Despite the heroic efforts of Tasmanian Colin Garland, the Internationals were simply too good across the park. Leigh Montagna lead from the front as International captain, and a three pronged ruck-attack was too much for the relatively short NSW/ACT/TAS.

C GARLAND wins the NSW/ACT/TAS MEDAL and a REPRESENTATIVE MEDAL

All-Stars All-Quality

Daniel Merrett hasn't been able to crack the Mexico City team this year, but he still has a lot of potential being best on ground for Qld/NT, who only had 15 players to choose from. It wasn't to be though, as Michael Johnson and Chad Wingard lead the Indigenous All-Stars to victory.

Indigenous All-Stars (18.17.125) defeated QLD/NT (17.10.112)

Best
Indigenous All-Stars: M Johnson, C Wingard, S Hill, P Ryder
QLD/NT: D Merrett, J Spencer
