This is my team below, and I've got 4 players not playing this weekend that would normally be on my field, not including Pittard and possibly Sinclair and Evans.

Backs: B. Goddard, D. Heppell, B. Gibbs, B. Goodes, L. Stevenson, C. Heath <J. Pittard, D. Terlich>

Midfield: D. Swan, G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, B. Deledio, J. Kennedy, O. Wines, L. Whitfield, M. Jones <S. Dwyer, M. Evans>

Rucks: D. Cox, M. Leunberger <C. Sinclair, M. Daw>

Forwards: T. Rockliff, D. Martin, P. Chapman, J. Bartel, J. Kennedy, S. Mayes <B. Macaffer, S. Rowe>

Cash Left: $170,000

Which trades do I make? Any comments/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Your main problem is obviously having 4 defenders out.

Your secondary problem is your defence is week.

You probably want to get rid of one of Stevenson, Heath or Pittard ASAP.

You have two options, get rid of the Premos that aren't selected, or the defence rookies that are not.

Pros of -Premo
- You can get premos in so you won't sacrafice points this round.

Cons of -Premo
You have to trade them back in, effectively losing two weeks of sidewaysish trading.

Pros of-Rookies
You can chase cash, Pittard to Vlaustin for example.
You can get rid of one of your 3 rookie port defenders (a big weakness in your team).
Next week, you can welcome back Heppel, and probably Gibbs, without trading them in

Cons of -Rookies
Means you can only go +rookies, which means you'll be fielding 1premo and 5 rookies in defence, thus sacraficing points.

Weigh all that up, and make your own decision.

Your premos to come in would be either Birchall (keeper) or Hartlett (low BE) - so, -Gibbs+Hartlett will at least earn you some cash... so yes, it is "sideways", but you'll make something like $40k from it (Gibbs -$10k, Hartlett +$30k) after one or two matches.

Your rookies to come in would be Vlaustin then who... Saunders???

Since Pittard is not named this week, and was a late out last week... he is probably the one to be dropped from your team though.

So, with all that said, I'd probably go Pittard to VLaustin (which probably helps your team slightly and improves your cash generation) and probably Gibbs to Hartlett/Birchall (toss a coin - another thread has a poll and was 15 votes for Birchall, 15 for Hartlett). I'd pick Birchall, but that is just me (and 50% of people!)

Another option would be -Gibbs and Heppel +Hartlett/Birchall and +Dixon

Dixon is BE 44, average 92, last 119.

You are losing SOME points Gibbs to Hartlett, but not many.... (probably about off-set with the cash gain?)
Dixon will go +$20k+ if he gets his season average.....

So, next week, you can go -Dixon +Heppel(or Gibbs if Heppel is not named)....... and, still not be too upset that you have Hartlett instead of Gibbs.

I think this is what I have decided to do - but I do already have Birchall.

Wow! Thanks for your help dude! Now going Pittard > Vlaustin, then Gibbs > Birchall. :)

Pittard --> Vlast and Whitfield --> Hartlett work financially? If so that looks good. :)
