He had a groin niggle.

"DANNY Stanley is in doubt for round 1 of the AFL season after the Suns utility was ruled out of today’s practice match against Melbourne with a groin niggle. The minor setback comes after Stanley missed the Suns’ first two rounds of the NAB Cup with a back complaint."

He should be back in the next week or two.
