players that are $75,300

are there any players that are 75, 300 that will play round 1

Cant comment on all but from a Freo point of view the best 2 "chances" are

Broughton or De Boer, but they still have to be promoted from the Rookie list first.  I believe Van Berlo is a long outside chance to be promoted.  Freo can promote 2 players before the season starts if they want to.

I believe there are a few promotions on the way.
Freo as mentioned.
Port has to replace Trengove, Thompson or Meyer fighting for this spot.
Sydney has to replace Barry, Kristian Thorton or Mike Pyke?
Hawthorn and Carlton both have two spots each on their list to promote at any time as they have no one one their veterans list. Not sure if any other teams are in this situation.
I'd think that DeBoer has the best credentials of any rookie listed player.
Is it true that all teams have the provision to promote two rookies mid season?

Hawker -  The way I understand it is that a team can nominate up to 2 rookies at the start of the season if no listed veterans and 1 if they have a listed veteran.

Then after round 11 they can nominate 1 more rookie to play without the need of a player on LTI

Someone please correct me if I am wrong

I know he is just a little bit more expensive, but how do you rate Nick Subans chances of playing rd 1?

Suban is an interesting one.  Scored 69 DT in round 2 of the NAB Challenge so that will definitely spark interests.  Not sure how he went this weekend just gone (waiting for Freako's PDF to see the results).

I am 50/50 as to whether he will play or not.  Unfortunately for Suban that is one area that Freo have quite a number of players looking to fill the roles

Johson
Grover
McPharlin
Hayden
Mundy (could be more of a midfield role)
Thornton
Dodd
Drum
Head (from what I have see I believe Suban is better than him)
Ibbotson (more of a midfield role - hopefully plays in the centres all year)
Hill (will prob play more on the wing)

So there are prob about 8 players ahead of him in the "pecking order".  Although it would be great to see him play rd 1, shows that Freo are prepared to play youngsters that have potential.
