This is the first time in 2 weeks where i'm 100% happy with my team (Excluding rookies) I know playing Leuey is risky but i have a solid Emergency in Blicavs who has proven he can score or i can swing Cox in there and play Caff. I had well over 100k last time and couldn't really use it but now i've found a little more coin which has let me get another premium into my side instead off JJK, which i'm really happy about. Here it is:

DEF: Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Brown, Goodes, Pittard (Stevensen, Terlich)
MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, J.P.Kennedy, Dangerfield, Mundy, Wines, Mitchell, O'Meara (Crouch, Rookie under 116k)
RUC: Jacobs, Leuenberger (Blicavs, Rowe)
FWD: Franklin, Cox, Rocky, Martin, Karnezis, Pettard (Maccaffer, Rookie under 116k)
Cash left: Less than 10k

So what are your thoughts on my side?? Waiting to see who is named to decided my last 2 rookie spots but they'll most likely come down to players like Viney, Kent, Jones, Kommer, Lee, Neade, Kerridge, Dwyer and Kennedy.

Thanks Hawkers!

I like it mate.
Gone for the same structure myself, just with a few POD. (Only 7 players haha)
I haven't had the guts to go Leuy yet, but still on the radar- am waiting for the teams to be named.

Looks good though, haven't got any suggestions for change :D
Good luck

Cheers guys! Was think about going Pettard to someone like Spangher and Brown to Armstrong. Do you like that combo better?

Im not convinced on Armstrong's JS at this stage, I guess only time will tell.
Spangher has played a bit pre-season, but looking at the Hawks line up I don't know about JS here either...

I guess what Im saying is that Im not sure... Pettard will play early and hopefully cement a spot in the 22, IMO safest option at the moment.

A good strong squad....as a hawker couple surprise omissions birchall sammy mitchell and brad hill and bruest....perhaps they are upgrade targets.  :P

All things considered concerned about luke browns  JS he is a good player just don't think he will string together enough games early to generate $. Perhaps Campbell Heath....I know 3 port players in Def: WTF?? but atleast you can start milking with 3 hands.

Good mids I really like Kennedy early a decent alternative captain option too (GWS GC).

Luey as 2nd ruck has concerned me for months.....When playing will bench 100's....that said can't beat the Cox for cover.

Karnezis and Pettard 2 very sly selections hopefully works for you.....I know you probably have turned over Varcoe and Byrnes in these spots.

Overall a very strong team and you have calculated your risks.

Mate team looking pretty good.

DEF: Looking good. Like the inclusion of Hanley. Do think he's going to explode this year. Otherwise right rookies in this line.

MID: Good mids, solid and can't knock any of them. Like the Mundy inclusion. Really cheap and will make some serious $ for you. I've tried to fit him in my team multiple times and just can't do it.

RUC: Same as mine, fingers crossed Leuy comes good.

FWD: Strong line. I've personally avoided Buddy for all the reasons that have been discussed in numerous other threads and will plan to pick him up early when his price has (hopefully) come off a bit. Still its a roll of the dice and he's proven huge scorer so having him is by no means silly. Been burnt by Martin so will not go there again and recommend you don't either. Love the Petterd choice.

Overall a really solid team. 9/10.
