I like my top back 3, Goddard, Shaw and Gibbs (common I would assume) - From day 1 I have had Bock and Newman in the next 2 places - havent watched any NAB or had the time to research. What is the go with these 2? Good options or better out there? Or better rookies that could save me and I could strengthen elsewhere like fwds mids or rucks!

I dont think Bock has returned to full fitness yet so leave him out

The Bomber

Bock still hasn't fully recovered and can't see him starting round 1.

Newman I have a biased against given I had to carry him ALL of last year where his average dropped from like 100 to like 85...Saying that apparently he is primed to play more on the wing, but personally staying away.

Colley Dogs

Personally, it's looking more and more likely I'll be starting with 3 premiums and 3 rookies in Defence. This is not something I want to do, as I'd feel a lot more comfortable with a Heppel, Newman, Yarran at D4. But the lack of a standout mid-priced Ruck for R2 is forcing this strategy. There is more Rookie depth amongst defenders compared to forwards, and I think there's an argument for having an extra premium forward in order to release Cox into the Rucks if necessary.

The way I'm going:

Defenders: Goddard; Gibbs; Premium; Vlastuin; Goodes; Pittard (Terlich; Stevenson).

Rucks: Premium; Blicavs (Rowe; Currie)

Forwards: Cox; 4 Premiums; Karnezis (Macaffer; Spangher).

If Blicavs or Currie aren't named, flip Cox with Rowe.
