I haven't read the rest of the comments so apologies if I am saying the same thing again.

All indications have pointed out that Viney is going to be eased into AFL. Unless Neald randomly changes his line-up (which has occurred as we all know) Viney won't play every game of the season or play week in week out.

Therefore, especially at the start of the year when you have the most rookies on the field, you want to know they are going to play and not only gain $$$ but score enough to hold down a spot for a third of the year atleast. Ergo get Wines as he is more likely to be able to fill that role.
