Which combo?

1. Franklin/Pitard/Leuy, or
2. Harper/Armstrong/McEvoy

Option 1: Leuy will sit on bench until ready (if not playing Round 1) with Cox/Rowe as link. When Leuy fit, Cox will swing into FWD. Smith as R2, yes, ballsy cheap ruck duo option but Leuy and Smith could be massive money earners.

Option 2: Harper performed well in NAB, as did Armstong (bit off in last practice match though  :-\). McEvoy playing stand in role until Sandi returns, possibly Round 2? Smith as R2 and Cox stays forward.

Cox serves as backup in both options should Leuy or Smith not give good results.

I'm leaning towards option 1 as seems like a more profitable one.

Jukes

Franklin 97, Pittard 65, Leuey 80*
vs
Harper 75, Armstrong 77, McEvoy 90

It's a tie on scoring potential, so would go (b) as major injury concerns over Leuey.

Toga

Close one but I'd probably prefer option (a) PROVIDING Leuey is fit and ready to go Round 1.

What about starting Longer until Leuey has played one or two games and we know he is fit and firing?

Windigo

Bailey allegedly had a really good game in the wet on Saturday.

This. With the extra trades may as well either take Leuey, or get Longer until Leuey is on the bubble. Plus, you get Buddy this way, who I assume you would want at some point.

Thanks guys, I'm not sold on using Longer as a fill in as he doesn't score that well (yet) and is Baily capable of backing up a good game with another, do we know his DT score from the weekend?

Currie is my other bench ruck, but even he is unlikely if Scott only plays 1 ruck. Daw may play up forward but we won't know until teams are anounced.

Yes, if I don't start Buddy then the plan was to get him in before the byes.

cheers, the scoring tie is my problem (as well as the injury risk), how do you rate the cash potential?

Windigo

Longer kicked the ball the wrong way during the NAG game someone said.  :P

Wouldn't have a clue on Bailey's score...:

Max Bailey â€" "Was superb in the ruck for the Hawks, and deserves some good luck after the well-documented problems he has had with his body. Look for him to establish himself in the side this year."

Actually, Baily playing a weakened Geelong ruck line up in round 1 may not be such a bad idea. Just depends on how much of the ruck load Roughhead take if Hale is suspended.

Toga

Hadn't thought about it that way timmy! :o

Bailey vs Blicavs might be a good option, especially if we're just trying to maximise points Berger is out for only one or two rounds.. :o

Baily will face Cox in Round 2 though, and maybe a returning NicNat. Hope Leuy is good for Round 2 (round 1 would be even better  :))

Blicav's just been reclassed as a MID/RUC. New plans???
