Josh Caddy was a machine in the midfield for the Cats, with 20 possessions and two goals
Tom Hawkins struggled throughout the game in windy conditions, having little impact.

Bulldogs controlled majority of the game, until Sam Lonergan propelled the Tigers to a 9 point win.
Adam Cooney was a standout for the Bulldogs, rolling through the midfield as though he was in his Brownlow year.
Both teams were close to full strength
Ivan Maric didn’t looked affected by the groin injuries that have hampered his preseason preparations.
Trent Cotchin couldn’t break a tag from Nick Lower, and had little influence on the game.
Dale Morris wore Jack Riewoldt like a glove, keeping the ace forward to just one goal.
Nathan Hrovat made his preseason debut, and was influential in the final term, showing inside grunt beyond his years.

Gary Ablett amassed 24 disposals
Jesse Lonergan was solid before suffering a wrist injury that puts him in doubt of a round one debut.

Taylor Hine was reported for a high hit on Jack Gunston.

Jack Gunston proved to not only be a solid forward option, but equally as good as a dashing, rebounding defender. His foot skills were exquisite, and his intercept marking was a standout.

Nathan Grima rolled through the midfield, proving another possible midfield rotation for the Roos in 2013.

Todd Goldstein went back to his post as number one ruck, and Currie was left to float around up forward have no impact on the game, and was eventually taken off at half time.

David Hale was dominate up forward, kicking 4 goals.

Travis Boark looks to be relishing the leadership role of captain, and was instrumental in Port Adelaide’s win. He had 3 goals and 29 touches, and could really breakout this season.

Matthew Lobbe put his hand up to become many coaches mid-priced option since Leunenberger is ruled out for the first few weeks. Lobbe dominated in the ruck for 75 SuperCoach points, beating Mumford in the ruck and around the ground comfortably.
