Late team, little research.

Finally got my internet back on, as such I've missed out on a lot of research through the pre-season, but manage to put together what I believe is a capable team... Doubt I'll get anywhere close to top 1000 this year but, which is usually almost a lock...

let us know what you think.

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett, Atley, B.Goodes, Terlich, Vlastuin, Docherty

Mid: Pendlebury, Watson, Dangerfield, Cotchin, Wines, K.Mitchell, Crouch, O'Meara, Towers, Viney

Ruc: Jacobs, Rowe, Daw, Currie

Fwd: Franklin, Cox, Zorko, Rockliff, Hawkins, Kennedy, Danniher, Kerridge

That's it for now... Thinking of maybe losing Hawkings and upgrading a rookie ruck to a more reliable one. Which begs me to ask the question; how is Goldstein travelling at the moment? I've searched, but haven't found to much info on him.. If he is fit, he would almost be a 100% luck for mine.

Also would it be wise to drop maybe Atley for a rookie and Kennedy, and swap say Wines to an Ablett/Swan?

Also, is there any deadset lock rookies I have missed?

Thanks guys, good luck for the year :)

4 rookies in the Mids is my biggest concern here, fwd is a bit top heavy, three rookie rucks too. Lighten up the fwd line, and fatten up the ruck and mids.

Yeah good call.. I might run 3 rookie mid, and try to squeeze Ablett in. I don't mind 3 rookie ruck... hopefully 1 will play each week, and if not Cox can sub in there. If they do, they will be an early upgrade :)

You might be right with the ruck strategy, good luck with the team man.

Okay made some alterations...

Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Hartlett, Pittard, B.Goodes, Terlich, Vlastuin, Docherty

Mid: Ablett, Beams, Kennedy, Dangerfield, Cotchin , K.Mitchell, Crouch, O'Meara, Towers, Viney

Ruc: Jacobs, Rowe, Blicavs, Currie

Fwd: Franklin, Cox, Zorko, Rockliff, Karnezis, Lee, Danniher, Kerridge

Weaker forwards and defenders, significantly stronger midfield, with a genuine captain option week in week out in Ablett.. My only worries at the moment are my rucks, and possibly 3 Brisbane forwards... not sure......

the captain

Def: A little weak with only the 3 premiums.
Mid: Strong, maybe too strong.
Ruc: Really need a 2nd ruck, as the other 3 won't play the full season, try to get berger at least.
Fwd: Better, pretty much right, just watch if Danniher plays though, maybe Neade or Macaffer instead.

HotTiges

ok

DEF - Good. Pittard should be fine to start. Considering him myself. Terlich likewise.
MIDS - Reallly strong.Towers sounds like he maybe inline for selection..
RUCKS - Hmm. Obviously your not starting Rowe? Either Blicavs or Currie.. at least 1 of them should for a little while..
FWDS - Not bad although I'd rather Macaffer at least over Daniher who is said to  be 'highly unlikey' to debut yet. Only 2 Brissy fws I reckon. Get on Bartel or Walker..

jeesh

OUT = Daniher IN = Macaffer
Done, although Macaffer hasn't been all that great this pre-season, I didn't realize Daniher might struggle for round 1. Thought he would be a 100% lock. So Macaffer it is. (this season really sucks for rookie forwards even more so than last year.)

I've completely changed my team again... strengthened the mids even more and swapped Jacobs for Maric who imo will defiinitely be top 2 ruck by years end. Most likely behind Cox... I'm just hoping the ones I have picked will all be top 8 total points by end season... (not sold on Swan for his price yet, should I maybe look at Watson/Pendlebury etc. or lock him in?)

Also if people don't like that, how would trading Swan out and swapping Zorko/Rockliff into the midfield, then buying Hawkins in the forward line, and using the ~200+k to upgrade Currie > Berger?

Although I kinda like my 3 rookie ruck strat..
