This seriously is the thing that is pissing me off most about DT this year: With the absence of any solid FWD rooks this season, is starting Macaffer on the field too weak?
I don't exactly see him averaging anything above 70. But then, the thing is, with the majority of us FF citizens starting Karnezis, what other FWD mp would we start at f6?  :-\ Is spending an extra 100k on a FWD mp worth it? Or are we going to field Macaffer and just pray that a prime FWD rook pops up :-\

My fwd line atm:

Cox, Rockliff, Zorko, Martin, Petterd, Karnezis (Macaffer, Lee)

Tbh yes I think it is too weak to start Caff at F6... He is the perfect candidate to be an emergency! If you plan to start him on field, I'm not convinced ANY of the other fwd rooks will play weekly, meaning you will be short for cover if something unforseen happens.

Reckon Petterd will be a great POD if he gets upgraded (which I'm almost certain he will)... Not a lot of love for him but he will easily go 75+ imo.

Yeah this is certainly a big headache for most coaches. For me I'm trying to fit Harper and Karnezis as F5/F6, if not I'll have Caff at F6 with Neade & probably Patton on the pine.

Insider out

Think he would do a good job at f6 but what rooks do you pick? I think you will still need cover and although most are saying just trade out if you need cover but for a 1 week injury or suspension you still would be better to cover with an emergency and use a trade on a planned upgrade to make your team better - not to plug a hole.

other left field mids are Harper and I have a good feeling in my loins about Ricky Henderson

Personally I see Macaffer to weak to start on the ground. Rolling with 4 premos then Karnezis and Varcoe, Macaffer and Rowe on the bench (Rowe is dpp link with Roughy)

Massive error jukes macaffer (75ish) will outscore varcoe(65-70). Why play varcoe when you can spend the coin elsewhere.

Neade will play r1 and is the perfect f7, finding a f8 rookie is the hard part rowe lee are the most likely to get be a chance of playing scoring wise wont be great imo. If your willing to wait could start staker as f8 but his a great downgrade option for later on.

#6
Neade will play about 8 games spread across the season, and like 6 of them will be sub-affected. Won't average 40, including sub-affected games.

Macaffer has severely less JS than Varcoe, so always good to swap them between F6 and F7 until I can get them out for premos.

Varcoe was named in the best too today vs Collingwood. Should average 74-78, while Macaffer shouldn't top 73.

I dont think it is to weak, but Im still tossing up on weather to have him

It'll be weak if he doesn't get named next week....
