Should I grab Stevie J from the start? I think he will go bang with more mid time.

Why put in a team then if you arent going for the main prize? If you are only going for a comp win then your comp must not be that strong if you want to win your comp but not the overall

Maybe he is going for a league win so isn't too worried about week 1.   I really wanted Stevie J also, and priority for me is alos a private league - i still don't want to cop a donut tho.  Maybe just wait til teams are named and start a rookie over him.

I'm doing the same as you. Not too concerned on overall, just league. Means that if others want SJ after round 1, they'll have to burn a trade. He should end up in the top 5 forwards as well IMO.

Because league doesn't start in round 1? Also means that you're in a better position compared to others as they'll either have to burn a trade, or not have him at all once H2H games start. Honestly, if you're not going for overall, I don't see why you wouldn't start him.

I would think going for league only is fairly common practice. I know a lot of people that do this, especially people in cash leagues. Chances of winnging say $1k in an 18 team cash league are far greater than winning $50k against 375,000 other teams

While winning 50K would be nice, I really don't rate my chances. Bragging rights at work is enough for me.

Go with stevie J then mate. Much more confident in him than most of the other fed prems this year
