Defence: I like it, Shaw doesn't offer value but should deliver the high scores.  I'm not huge on Hibberd either but he hasn't missed a beat this preseason so has gotta be considered.

Midfield: Personnel is fine however I think you need one more strong mid in there- 4 premo mid will see you concede points early i reckon.

Ruck: Ivan is expensive and has a lot to back up, can he do it? Time will tell, not for me though.

Forward: I see no problem with it.

Maybe consider dropping Maric for Cox, McBean to Witts and Rowe fills in that empty space Cox left- then you can upgrade one of your mid rookies to another premo.

Defence: It's different and I like it.  But I don't like Brennan feel he is too up and down, stanley may annoy with his DT:SC ratio as well.  Don't see too many games for Colq too.  I think Staker may miss round 1 too.

Midfield: Personally I wouldn't worry about the MPP link with Chappy (I think Chappy's too old anyway)- I'd swap him for dwyer and take advantage of the abundance of mid rookies on offer.  Not huge on Cooney's knees- but the rest of the players are good options, might be a tad too stacked though.

Ruck: Good but no Currie? The guy has been a stand out throughout preseason.

Forward: All decent choices on their merit but you lack a stand-out forward.  IMO you need one of Buddy or Rockliff- preferably both.  Higgins is a gun but made of glass.  Monfries is still recovering from a hamstring injury I believe.

Maybe try downsizing your middle a bit and getting an ultra premium forward option.

Defence: Don't like Sam Shaw at that price, Mackie is consistent, consistently mediocre.  Don't expect him to average above 85- not what you want.  Lachie "Giovanna" Plowman is too expensive for my liking, Colquhuon too skinny for consistent games I reckon.

Midfield: Very good midfield, but you're lacking one of the "Big 3" (Ablett, Swan, Pendles), that will hurt you- no 2 ways about it.

Rucks: They're fine.

Forwards: Speculative line.  They're unique but I can't see Armfield and Sinclair churning out consistently good scores, having no Buddy will hurt you.

I'd suggest losing one of those troublesome mid-pricers and forking out the cash to get some ultra-class players in.
