Hey all,

Had a crack at a slightly different set up. Yes Yes I know you will all say Goddard should be in the back line.
Goddard will eventually be in the backline but I am contemplating putting him in the midfield to start to allow me to look at other
prospects down back. With 30 subs and DPP I am thinking you can afford to experiment initially before settling on your line up which is when I move Goddard back. If my other backman fire and I see which mids are making $$, Goddard can then move back
which frees up mid spot for a premium. In the past midfield rookies are the ones that make you cash.
Yes there is the argument that backs do not score high so you might aswell risk more mid pricers/rookies down back but you still need consistent players regardless.
Anyway I am just throwing things around at the moment to see what combinations I can come up with. Of course rookies still to be finalised.

Any comments on the team below will be appreciated.

B: Gibbs, Birchall, Rance, Heppell, Doherty, Goodes (Aylett, terlich)
M: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, Goddard, Mundy, Wines, Crouch, O'Meara (Viney, Martin)
R: Ryder, Leunberger (Currie, Rowe)
F: Cox, Franklin, Rockcliff, Robinson, Karnesis, Mcaffer ( Neade, Kerridge)

I personally don't have a problem with your strategy, it's completely up to you and how you want to set up.

But your forward line is going to need more depth. Kerridge after his NAB Cup is unlikely to get a run in the 22 that take the field in Round 1. Neade is going to be a vest candidate and/or in and out of the team and/or not score very well. So you could be looking at donuts there. So would look to improve that area of the team. Rance looks a bit of a risk in the backline, but maybe he'll pay off. The structure looks fine otherwise, probably just tinker with the rookies closer to round 1.

Thanks mate. Looked at Hartlett instead of Rance but keep coming back to Rance. Reckon he may have a good year.
