Nice Baggers. Backline is a little thin but I can see why you have done it . Just have to make sure you have 6 backline players playing every week. Like the inclusion of Hanneberry, just keep a watch on Ball who said the other night that he is still not 100%. Like the pick of J J Kennedy but he will be a rollercoaster.

Baggers2012

Thoughts on going...
Ball to B.Crouch
Pittard to Yarren

j

I'd go Ball to Embly (unless your trying to create more money) and Terlich to Yarran, as well as coulquhoun to Docherty
Just some ideas but its looking really good!

Baggers2012

Don't have the cash to go ball to embley and then upgrade a rookie to yarran...just wondering were i could use the money i gain if i was to get rid of ball
Potential trades if i downgrade ball:
Hanneberry to J.Selwood, K.Jack, beams etc. (keen to keep hanneberry though, a bit of a unique, think he's in for a breakout year)
JJ Kennedy to J.Lewis, T.Hawkins etc.
Pittard to Yarran (a little short on cash to do this)
Leuenberger to jacobs, McEvoy (little short on cash to do this)

Back: Probably should upgrade Van Unen to Yarran otherwise you have a solid defence.
Mids: sound midfield with 4 premiums Would keep Embley and Downgrade Ball to Crouch
Rucks: Standard
Forwards If you don't want to change to defence then i would upgrade Kennedy to Hawkins otherwise you have good depth here

Overall you have thought this team out well i rate it an 8/10

Baggers2012

Made a couple of changes to the side, let me know your thoughts.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Goodes, Docherty, Van Unen (Pittard, Terlich)

Backs - Goddard and gibbs the must haves, heppell could do very well this year. Three starting rookies makes this line a bit weak, but i think this is potentially the best line do that with, there is weaker premiums in the back, and what could be some reasonable rookies, but must watch the rest of the nab to see if they all have ok job security. 1.5/2

Mids - 4 guys who should be top ten and a speculative pick in Hanneberry, personally I dont think he can be top 10 mids this year, but he is a point of difference and not an unreasonable risk.  Good rookies, watch in nab. 2.5/3

Rucks - Standard, with cox forward and sandi now injured no many options. Look at jacobs/roughead if you want a difference here. 1/1

Fwds - Very strong, Cox and rockliff pick themselves. Walker a bit up and down but should be in the top averages, wright could improve but not sure. Christensen looks set to get more mid time. 2/2

Unique/Strategy - Heppel, Hanneberry and Christensen all good unique picks, not sold on Hannebery and Christensen but that is where you take a risk. Dont mind the three starting rookies back (I have the same), just watch carefully to see you get guys with good job security. Maybe one really top flight premium short on the whole, hannebery, wright, christensen will all be good but maybe not in the top scorers for their position. 1/2

Overall - 8/10. Very strong, maybe one top flight premium short.

Advice - Without checking prices, straight swap Hannerberry for Swan/JPK in the mids to give that extra strength. Or Wright/Christensen > Franklin. Alternatively downgrade one of those two to Lee, play Macaffer on the ground (should be one of the best scoring 'rookies' around) and Upgrade a back rookie to Shaw/Birchall. Just a few ideas.

Baggers2012

Thanks mate, awesome feedback, current problem with defence is my 3 premo's share the bye...all in for big years imo. AC is the most likely to go, bring in big roughead...tough games early though (having a look whether he's scores are affected when playing top sides)

I agree with macaffer, only problem is i only see macaffer and neade getting good game time out of the fwd rookies, defence & mids have plenty with good JS. Watching for fwd rookies in nab...

Baggers2012

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Watts, Atley, Goodes, Docherty (stevenson, Terlich)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Cotchin, Hanneberry, Wines, O'Meara, K.Mitchell (Crouch, Viney)

Rucks: Maric, Leuenberger (Rowe, Currie)

Fwds: Cox, Rockliff, Wright, Martin, Siposs, Macaffer (Neade, Growden)

If Hanneberry or siposs are scoring poorly in the first 2 rounds (both have easy early fixture), i will downgrade them to either Ball/Maloney/Embley & Varcoe/Karnizes/Byrnes/Kennedy depending on their early form. If Hanners or Siposs do score poorly i simply burn a trade and bring in the best scoring cheap mid or fwd. i feel i can take this risk due to the 30 trades on offer this year.

Baggers2012

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Goodes, Pittard, Docherty (Stevenson, Terlich)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Dangerfield, Cotchin, Stevens, Wines, O'Meara (Mitchell, Crouch)

Rucks: McEvoy, Currie (Daw, Rowe)

Fwds: Cox, Walker, Chapman, Rockliff, Varcoe, Karnizes (Macaffer, Neade)

Thoughts?

Team looks great.  I'd go Bartel over Chappy but that's a personal preference.  Currie at R2 is a huge risk but ruck DPP should save you from getting burned by it.

I reckon I liked your first team more with Hannebery and Ball.
Heppell worries me but he doesnt worry many so I guess he could be good.
Good to see you changed Goldstein out of the ruck- the knock on Goldstein from me is not on Todd, but on Brad Scott and his ridiculous selections concerning Tod.
Your forwardline premos are different, and I don't really like them tbh- Rocky is king though.  Like Varcoe- not so Karnezis, see Mitch Golby last year.
