i am going with a risky two premo-6 rookie backline and am just trying to get the right mix of backline rookies that are definitely going to play for their respective clubs

atm my backline looks like this..

Goddard, Gibbs, Brown, Goodes, Stevenson, Pittard (Terlich, Docherty)

are there players i am missing out on or some players who i have picked that are a bit questionable?

if i had the money i would get on vlastuin but im not sure about his js. not too sure about campbell heath from port too..

let me know what you think

I really like this strategy and have been toying with it too. When i have used this strategy my Backline has looked like this: Goddard, Gibbs, Vlastuin, Brown, Goodes, Stevensen (Pittard/Colquhoun, Terlich) When using this strategy, you can make every other line pretty awesome:

Mids: 5 ultra Premo's/ 5 Rookies
Rucks: 1 Premo/ Leuey/ 2 rookies
Fwds: 4 Premo's / 2 Mid pricers/ 2 Rookies
Cash left 80k

Will Docherty play?

And if he doesn't, does it really matter as long as you've got 7 playing.

Staker will be back in time to upgrade and cut Docherty if he looks unlikely.

Vlastuin looks good.

?? Colquhoun but I don't know enough about job security.

My main concern is your exposure to a lot of potentially really low scores. These def rookies can score 35 - 55 at times leaving you a lot of ground to make up as the mid rookies can churn out 65 - 90. All open to interpretation and debate, but greater the number of rookies to whom you are exposed, the greater the pressure on your extra mid to score.

Is there a middle path, Buddha?

i know its nab cup but goodes and colquhoun scoring 90+, stevenson scoring 70-80, vlastuin and brown scoring 60s

scoring hasnt been too bad

Colquhoun is on the rookie list and if they elevate someone it will be Mitchell but there is still Campbell Heath if he gets games.

The issue with stacking one line so heavily with rookies is then downgrade options later. If all 6 rookie backs play consistently then it's not a big deal, but say you have one who gets a couple of games then gets benched for a long time - think Darren Pfieffer from last year. Now you have someone not making any cash, not playing, and who would have been a great target for cashing in someone else later on...
