Gaff will average the most DT points of any Eagle this season. Put it in a time capsule, lock it in Eddie. Guaranteed!
No chance.
Cox or Selwood.

Added Selwood tonight, actually.

Wouldn't Priddes, and maybe even Masten, be higher chance than Gaff?

I dunno, I dont think Gaffy will top score but he's a very good smokie. Not as much of a long shot as everyone makes out. Third year breakout anyone?

Colliwobblers

shuey and selwood may be better players for now, but this is DT we are taking and uncontested possession sluts are king. Gaff is that.

but you can bet your dt season selwood will get tagging roles, late in the season the eagles needed a tagger he was the man for the job, and it is widely reported from the eagles that he will be again if the need arises which it will.

Shuey isn't as good as Gaff, masten isn't as good as either.

Shuey averaged 95 in his 3rd season ( so Gaff just needs to find 9 points to add to his average and he is ahead of Shuey season for season)

Masten averaged 85 in his 5th sesaon ( so Gaff is already 2 points ahead of him in his 2nd)

SSelwood averaged 87 in his 4th season, same as Gaff did in his 2nd, SSelwood averaged 99 last season in his 5th, so Gaff needs 12 more to beat that in his 3rd.

Possible, probable.

Gaff is clearly ahead of all these players year on year, he has gotten better faster, and will continue to get better faster, why wouldn't he?

am I missing something?

Gaff to average 100-105?

Looks like the Fyfe, Mundy or Gaff debate needs to be started again.

Isn't there a Melbourne ruck at a similar(ish) price to berger? If berger doesnt get up just go with him? Same theory goes with knights doesn't? If he doesnt get up go with byrnes/varcoe/the random Adelaide guy people are talking about now.

(d) none of the above, go up to Stants/Redden/Jelwood/Murphgy or down to Ball/Moloney.

Cam Pedersen at 296k? Big no. Started as sub yesterday and got 5 in the last quarter to go with a 9 and a 7 in round 1.

Again with Knights would definitely prefer Varcoe, Knights is a spud :P (I'm preferring to go with Patton as that 50k let me upgrade Lonergan to Whitfield.

I think your right here but a lot of people are looking at putting in one of these guys as their m5 in hope that they can get over the 105ppg mark to be a keeper/very late upgrade with excess cash.

Back when everyone was looking at the "bargin ruck" strat where people were using people like Vardy and Smith with Berger. If berger doesn't get up could one of these guys be good enough to do a straight swap?

On Patton, I was on him after last week too but with his 24 on the weekend I'm a little skeptical again.

Yes.

Shuey only played 6 games in 2010 so this is essentially his third season, well at least in my eyes.

So in his second season he averaged 94.7 which is special and more than Gaff.

This season he will take his average to ~100+ and when Kerr/Embers retires he'll move up towards the 105-110 range.

Shuey gets more goals and more tackles than Gaff which is where he is ahead. Tackles = 4 points and because Shuey is an inside player he gets more.

Last season Shuey had more than double the amount of tackles that Gaff got, in fact Gaff averaged just over 1 a game while Shuey averaged nearly 4. Shuey also kicked twice as many goals as Gaff and won 5 times more free kicks than him.

Although Gaff did get more possessions.

Colliwobblers

Yeah Ball = inside midfielder like Shuey

Swan = outside midfielder like Gaff

Gaff is the youngest and has the most development left to go in him.

might not be this season but it will be, outside mids generally outscore inside mids and I did say DT.
