Emergency Loop Hole???

Is there an emergency player loop hole for split rounds (round 1 for example)?????

Example: Adelaide play week 1 and assuming they pick Brad Crouch you select him but you are unsure of his scoring potential so you select him as an emergency. He plays round 1 and guns it for a rookie for a score of 95.

If this happens, is it worth fielding a non-playing rookie for the second week (split rounds only partial lockout) of the split round to get those points? After that you could trade out this non-playing rookie for the best scoring rookie you don't have before the price change in round R3 so you don't miss any price rises.

There are worse ways you could burn a trade after the 1st week. Would you actually pick a non-playing rookie sitting on your bench or trade one in for the 95 points?

GM

Definetly an option imo as you have 2 trades to use or lose after rd1.

It will be for round 1 (split round) so no trading in, it will just be standard team selection. This is purely an "if" situation if Brad Crouch (in this example) scores 95 or a decent score. As its only a partial lockout you just select a non-playing rookie on the field for the second week of the split round which ensures you get Crouch's score ("if" he gets a decent score)

Just be careful that I think your lowest emergency will get subbed in.

If another of your emergency plays, you won't get 95!

You would only have 1 emergency in each position to avoid that. You would only field 2 nuts.
