New stand at Geelong

Got a good look at the new stand today on tv during the Geelong vs Adelaide game.
Its coming along nicely but why is it so High off the ground?  :o
looks like a 2 metre drop from the front row to the ground like you see in Baseball

It was always a high fence at that end though but now its really high
