I like your original backlline more but the updated team is better everywhere else... looks like a solid team 9/10

Ringo

Bringing in Ablett and Franklin obviously forced you to compromise elsewhere,

Like mine your team may change a dozen or more times as well. Team looks strong with the changes.

A couple of Mid pricers to keep an eye on in the NAB cup that may be worth a look:
Golby and Moloney looked good for Lions.
Miles  from GWS may be a solid mid price option to Ball, Embley or Moloney if he continues form shown
Christensen looked in reasonable touch for Cats,

Nead could fill your forward rookie option,

With having $113k left you have flexibility to change your prems around.

Can not really argue with your choice of prems atm

Rate team 9/10 Well done mate,

LF

UPDATED TEAM

D: Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Yarran, Goodes, Pittard (Docherty, Terlich)

M: Ablett, Pendles, JPK, Cotchin, Ball, Wines, K.Mitchell, Crouch (Viney, Omeara)

R: Goldy, Berger (Rowe, Daw)

F: Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Martin, Byrnes, Macaffer (Lee, Rookie)

113k Remaining

Mids Look great JPK should score really well especially the first few games

Rucks Good I`m just not sure on Goldy I`d keep an eye on the rest of NAB

Forwards Great forwards Martin is a risky pick hopefully he can do better this year as he burnt alot of coaches (me included)last season and Franklin is not finding his way into many teams as yet so he could be a start of the season unique.

Backs Good I personally don`t like Shaw(blacklisted) but he could average well Yarran is an interesting one I personally don`t think  he is a good pick with the cash you have remaining why not just get a straight out premo back?

With the extra cash I am thinking of either going
Yarran > Newman
Or
Ball > Moloney

thoughts?

Interesting one Quinney -

Will Newmann average more early than Yarran - Possible if he gets back to 2011 form - Not having Captaincy may assist.
Will Moloney average more than Ball - Would like to see a bit more of Ball in the NAB cup to see how he is coming back from injury to see.  At the moment just think that Moloney has a better upside,

Know I have not answered but basically because I have a bias to Moloney ever since he tore it up at intra club trial.

yeah they are both unknowns.
Newman is set to make a move back to the wing which should see his scores go back to 90+. He looked very good there on friday night.
Yarran a bit more unknown. He could and should increase his average but is no certainty.

Moloney i think will avg atleast 5ppg more than ball and he isnt coming back from a seriosu injury so I think he has more upside but still unsure of which one represents the best value.

Ringo

Moloney will either be my M9/10 if he maintains a 95/100 average or will become a super prem when he bottoms out below 95.

How about Yarran to Hanley? He'll kill it this year AND if you can afford it...Ball to Moloney...WIN WIN :P

Like the team. maybe cos it's so similar to mine! I have Grimes,Mummy and Zorko/Pav instead of Shaw,Goldy and Rocky. How much mid time will Rocky get? Not sure about Goldy either, but a solid, well structured team.

Cant quite afford him unfortunately

BACKS: All solid picks. I have also tipped Yarran to have a good season this year. I think worse case scenario is he will average around 80 and we make 100k or so once we upgrade him. Best case is that he pushes his average into the 90's and becomes a keeper. In any case he is a much better option than a rookie with dodgy JS.

MIDS: Very nice. I think the 4 guns and one mid pricer is the way to go. It comes down to personal preference with regards to the mid pricer. I am liking the look of Moloney and think he could even be a solid M8 once the mids are set.

RUCKS: Standard. Obviously keep an eye on both Goldy and Leuey during NAB.

FWDS: Looks awesome. I'm one who will not be starting with Franklin but understand why so many coaches will be.

Great looking team mate that I rate 9/10.

Newman... Looks fresh and ready to play it out, should score better this year with captaincy pressure off, and playing more up the wing which means potential points plus! Always been a clean ball user by foot and usually kicks long so good for SC.

Moloney... Also looks rejuvinated at new club under new leadership, younger, Vossy as we all know was one of the modern day mid greats! Has in the past pulled decent scores when working closely with the ruckman - good footy smarts off the tap and in close!

Hard to pick between them...

Go Newy!
