Ringo

Nice team now Cortez,

Only real issue I see is the round 13 byes.  Know only top 18 on field scores will count but You have your top 3 mid fielders and Top 2 backs sharing the bye, My bye strategy this year is to try and have at least 13 prems (more if possible) playing each of the three bye rounds.
Goldy will need to increase output to maintain selection.

Nice POD with Watts at D4.

Cheers Ringo, not really concerned about byes atm. 13 week's is a long time in supercoach. Plus with extra trades can mess around with it later on. And I will be watching Goldy closely, cheers.

BACKS: All great picks. Goddard and Gibbs are locks. Birchall is a keeper and great signs from Watts early in NAB Cup. I can see him averaging high 90's to 100 this year playing that sweeping half back role. Only issue is that teams WILL start tagging him.

MIDS: Like all these picks except for Gaff. I think if you are going to have Moloney there then you should have a stronger M4. Gaff fine at M5 but not M4 for mine.

RUCKS: Standard, hopefully Goldy can show more than he did against the Dees on Friday night. All eyes are on Leuey, hopefully he gets a gig in the NAB Cup.

FWDS: Awesome line which I cannot fault. Personally I won't be starting with Franklin but many coaches will be.

I really like your team and the only thing I would change would be downgrading Franklin and upgrading Gaff.

9/10

Thanks for tbe review Ben!

My thinking on Gaff oscillator thinkbhe can avg 105+ this season, hopefully 110-115 and the reason why I have chosen the big three is to cover Gaff if he doesn't reach the heights I hope for. Is a risk but I dont see it being a big one. As for Buddy I got ridiculed when I didn't have him in and I get told not to have him when I do so I think he is just up to personal preference. Personally I think he will definitely be in the top 6 forwards so why not start him.

Def: Great choice of Premiums i like the pick of Watts as long as he dosen't get tagged he should average in the high 90's.
Mids: Bit light with Gaff at M4 need a premium here. Keep Moloney as i can see him scoring highly.
Rucks: Goldy was disappointing in the NAB Cup games may want to look at Jacobs if this continues.
Fwds: Can't Fault this line

Overall:  Apart from the problem in the Mids team is good enough. gve it a 7/10

Yes good team. I would leave Gaff for now and get another super premium. I feel he is more of a DT player cos of his uncontested game. To get the cash I would downgrade Buddy to someone who will likely score the same if not better initially. Then u are ahead on points with a JPK/Cothin/Watson/Selwood over Gaff.

Love the Zork, like the Watts pick but not sold on Goldy.

RoughRed

Like the Team and I love Gaff but have to agree that as a SC choice perhaps not value for money
There are quite a few mid's $50k less with same BE's and good run at 1st 3 rounds
Perhaps someone who can give you a DPP to link your mids to backs/forwards

Agree with the comments on Buddy - he is fully priced and IMO looks like he is going to take a couple of games to get up to steam

Cheers for the thoughts guys, I might have a look at Gaff but do think he is in for a big year. Goldy well you Cant judge someone on a 20/20 NAB cup game so will watch him closely over tbe next couple of weeks. Buddy though I think I may go with. Everyone is going on about his hard his start is but last year he didn't do to bad against them. His first 5 opponents and the scores he got were:

Geelong- 89
West coast - 89, 112
Collingwood - 142
Freo - 99
North - 236

On those numbers he averaged 127 against those teams last year. So dont get sucked in by the quality of the opposition just remember the quality of Buddy ;-)
