Ringos Brothers Team

My brother has sent me his proposed team for suggestions.

He is using a different strategy as you can see by his team but I can not really fault his team.

Any thoughts for the FF community.

Def: Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Birchill, Docherty, Stevenson, Terlich, Van Nunen
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Moloney, Wines, K. Mitchell, O'Meara, Crouch, Kommer, Viney
Rucks; Maric, Jacobs, Gorringe, Rowe
Fwds: Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Hawkins, Varcoe, McAffer, Lee, Neade

He has gone weak in mids but strong on other lines, Think I would hate to come up against this team early.

Not bad.

My only comment would be I think I would make my forward line stronger than my back looking at the rookies available.

4 top defenders average on 100 ish and not great value over someone like Yarran in my opinion, or even Broughton!!

Mids are fine. Gets an extra cash cow and can be a bit more considered when choosing his most important line. That is, he can watch and see which of the next group is firing.

Main drawback is needing more trades to upgrade to the top guys.

No Leue? Is he a blood relative?

Ringo, I can't knock the premiums or the structure.

I'd be worried about how many of those midfield rookies will actually start Round 1, and still be going come round 4. Crouch and Kommer would be the likely bench, imo. Just like Lee and Neade benched forward, the big question is "Will they get early games to make $$$?"

Is anyone sure that one of Van Unen, Terlich and Stevenson will get a start in R1 to R4? Would hurt if any one of them does a Relton!

Rowe is presumed swing for Cox. For a wee $3k it can be Sinclair, and maybe actually get a game.

I think the Ringo family make fantastic SC teams

good logic; relatively good balance and the rookies will sort themselves out

Def: 4 Premium mids could be 1 too many as it has weaken your midfiel
Mid: 1 Premium Short i would at getting Cotchin or as a Unique A.Swallow
Rucks Too Strong Look at Downgrading Marich to Leuey
Fwds: I would leave as is as 4 premium fwds is perfect.

Overall. Great team has 13 Premiums can still have 13 even with the Changes i have mentioned i just don't your brothers team will be able to get away with 3 premium mids if he thinks so leave the team as is.

Thanks for the comments guys - a lot of you have echoed my thoughts.  He just thinks mid rookies will make money quicker than the defence and forward rookies  and he is entitled to that opinion. (His idea the quicker money is made the quicker upgrades can occur and get his team set.)  I just suggested to him that if he wants that way maybe have his prem forwards set with 5 prems with a mid price in defence. This is another part of his reasoning that he virtually only has to worry about mid upgrades as other lines are just about set.

Tried to talk him into Berger but he said if he changed one it would be for Mummy (He is a Swans supporter so we have some nice banter from time to time just for you GD.)

He will be like me though assess rookies in naming Round 1 teams.
