Well since Port players seem to be popular this pre-season I've had a look into Port's big man Matthew Lobbe. After having what I think was a good pre-season before having a very minor knee injury I see alot of value in a player that won't get picked much making him quite unique. With Berger being cheap and almost a lock for everyone and the extra trades I could see myself taking a punt on the big man what do you guys think?

What's he cost?

I reckon he could go 80+ but he'd need to be the right price to punt on...

$344,600 is his price sir..!

Hmmm, yeah I think he could he worth a shot.

Would be a massive risk so make sure you have Cox in your fwd line and minimal risks in the rest of your side ;)

That's what I was thinking elephants!

I know he was looking like a good prospect but he didn't impress me at all last year

Maybe Jenkins for a smokie :o will probably play 22 games and has serious ability

Can't see him getting near that 90ish average that you want from your premo rucks...

elephants

But he's not premo price Adam ;)

To be fair tbag, Lobbe hasn't had a preseason before (this is his first ever)

Yeah, at 344k, he's not good enough to be a keeper and isn't cheap enough to be a cash cow/stepping stone.

He could be a unique last upgrade if he went on to average 85.

Fact is, he is potentially 15-20 points underpriced what he's capable of.

True, but I feel that he is too much risk for not enough gain.

With 44 trades though, I guess you could do worse...

He does seem to be highly rated, I did like the look of the raw Redden but yeah Lobbe has big potential

But yep too high priced unless he really looks like going big, then he'd be worth it, nothing wrong with a bolter at R1 imo with all the trades, wait and see what Maric, Cox, Goldy and Sandi ect will do while scoring well enough and making money, but all that is a big risk
