is it better to go with the best of the best from the start and starting a midfield like this:

Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, Watson, Kennedy

OR

Looking for value premiums that you think are cheaper than what they should be. e.g.

Ablett, Jack, Murphy, Priddis, Redden

The first one should probably score about 20 more points, but with the second team you are saving an extra 291K, that can be spent elsewhere to upgrade a rookie to a mid-prcied keeper, which means you will gain an extra keeper doing the second one.

My 5 non-rookie mids are Ablett, Swan, Pendlebury, JPK and Embley.
I'm taking a few risks in the forward line - The mids I wanna get right from the start even with the temptation of more starting spots in the mids.

I voted for the best of the best - yet have a combination of both.

I don't want people to discount/justify their exclusion of players like Pendles/GAJ etc - you simply can't win without them.

My mids currently:

GAJ/Pendles/Murphy/Jack/Fyfe/Rook/Rook/Rook


Always nice to have a few value picks - especially when they work out well and you can brag that you had them since day dot  8)

if you could get pendles in for priddis/redden would look much better
