Murphy!!! Is worse than missy higgins for eratic scores would trade him for anyone else, has burnt me a few times.
No buddy? No GAJ? First two l pick.
Rest look good.

AndreDrummond

I do have buddy..
And Murphy had an injury interrupted year causing erratic scores? You make him out to be the worst player in the league when he is clearly an a grader. Also I don't think Gaz is as much of a lock as everyone thinks, gradual improvement of his young team this year may result in him losing a few points and he has also had a few niggling injuries this preseason, thanks for your feedback though pal.

You don't 'need' gaz, like everyone will say. Read my above comment, I have my reasons not to pick him and I'm sick of everyone saying how much of a necessity he is, like sure he is a great player but by no means is he a must have this year, for my above mentioned reasons.

Sorry about missing buddy,  my bad.

Edit: Just had a horrible thought ignore everything if you've got marc Murphy (he's a gun). If you've got the doggie version then keep reading.

But.... Murphy has averaged 84 & 90 in the last 2 seasons (21 games both years) that's not A grade for me. His scores yo-yo because he's constantly moved around plugging gaps in the doggie team. Much better value with a rookie scoring 70 -80 and money spent elsewhere imo. But if you really like Bob enjoy the ride.

Ps his career average is 82.

I respect that you have thought about the Gablett situation and if your gut tells you he's not worth it then go nuts. Personally I think if you're not starting GAJ you need Swan - Pendles by himself doesn't cut it at M1 for me. He's a jet for sure but I feel a Swan/Ablett M1 with Pendles M2 is important.

I think I find it more interesting that you don't want GAJ but you have Buddy in - look at their opening draw for the first 7 rounds:
Hawks: Geelong, West Coast, Collingwood, Freo, North Melb. Adelaide, Sydney.
GCS: St Kilda, Sydney, Brisbane, Port, GWS, Freo, Melbourne.

Hawks have a horror, GCS have a dream. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's all the finalists from last year for the Hawks opening 7 games. Freo and North should be ok enough but the other 5 are anyone's guess.
If GAJ is going to explode, and Buddy was to plummet, this is pretty much the perfect set up. So unless you think that Buddy won't have a crap (~80 or less) game, and GAJ won't average somewhere around 140 from those opening 7, I would SERIOUSLY consider changing that.

Whilst your name doesn't inspire me, GCSkiwi, your post is spot on.

Could not have said it better and thanks for shearing your knowledge with us.  ;)

very nice and balanced team.
4-4-2-4 in premo's. NICE.

my only problem is no GAJ. thats it. You NEED him in your team or you will suffer.

gradual improvement doesnt mean sh!t when GAJ is still the man in a growing bottom 4 club.
he will STILL be the go to guy, and thus will still rack up the possy's and still turn out 130+ SC points.

His average for the past 5 years has been 133.

I think that's all I really need to say.

not just the opponenet i think the contract talk will affect his score like it has affected everyone else.
