I have $427k left over for a big trade a few rounds in. Any advice would be appreciated.

id use most of that $427k now. id put cox into the rucks and upgrade daniher to a mid pricer such as byrnes and also pick up varcoe. do you think russell has good job security at collingwood? would be a good pick up if he did. good unique midfielders could pay off. shaw a little too inconsistent so turn him into gibbs.

For the reply, I'd rather leave cox in the forward line for now with the option of moving him into the ruck later on if I need to, I was considering Varcoe but I think he's a little overpriced for DT, I like your idea of Byrnes though I think I might go with that. I'm still undecided bout shaw it's out of Shaw, Gibbs, Scotland and Birchall for D2?

i wouldnt go Griffin at R1, first thing i would do is upgrade him to at least Sandi

No I wouldn't go near Sandi, he's too much of a tampon for my liking, which is why I'm going for freos number 2- he won't score as big but he will score more often and end up with more points over the season.

alot of teams have cox in the FWD line - maybe its just my team structure but he fits better in my RUCK than FWD. i.e you can have Cox at $512k in the ruck and a mid pricer in the FWD line for $250k, but u cant have the other way around becuase there are no decent rucks for $250k. you would then have to sacrifice elsewhere to run cox in the FWD and another premo ruck - at least another $150k to get to goldstein. running him in the ruck leaves no reason to run a DPP rookie in the ruck so you can make a bit more money that way, by picking up a playing rookie. and you still can always put him into the fwd line if required later in the season. depends on your team structure i guess

my suggestion would be to oust griffin move cox in to R1. it makes more sense to have a player of his caliber that can score as a premium forward not in the forwards. just as high scoring dpp mids don't go in the mid.

take the almost 400 grand of griffen and either use some of your extra cash and chuck another premium up forward.

here is a fairly quick comparison and unless you think griffen will improve his output you would be better of spending the 400 grand in the forwards on breust or the like or go to martin at 435 ish to increase your points that way and he should go up to.

i'd probably up daniher to byrnes.

i should know this but where does Otten fit into the crows at the moment

you have alot of POD which is great but i think your Midfield is a little under powered too, maybe upgrade one of fyfe or dangerfield, to get another 110 + player. also think embley is to go to pass up.
