I could go completely crazy and field nut jobs and take the captaincy off RVP, but nahhh. Knowing my luck Rafael will score again and all that jazz.

Begovic
Evra, Mertesacker, Debuchy
Kagawa, de Guzman, Fellaini, Walters
Aguero, RVP, Fletcher

Subs: Krul; Kompany, Snodgrass, Reid

Captain: RVP
Vice-Captain: Aguero

Vicious Sandwhich Attack

Van Persie has lost his little yellow injury icon. Maybe he's okay???

You could be at the mercy of SAF' selection mind CF  ;D

A hattrick to kagawa could see jukes come away with the win from an impossible position!

Nope, won't come close.

With just one game left to be played between Aston Villa and Man City the second leg scores are currently:

Goodfellas 74 vs 38 Blue Mountain State

This means aggregate scores from both legs sees the tie at Goodfellas 110 vs 106 Blue Mountain State. It has been a remarkable turn around for the Goodfellas who head in to the final match with a 4 point advantage. Left to play for Goodfellas is Aguero, whilst for Blue Mountain State Nastasic and Yaya Toure are still to take to the park. Going to be an exciting finish!

By the way if the scores end up tied after the match then BMS will be declared the winners after scoring more than Goodfellas away from home.

Wow intense finish!

Leg 2 Result

Goodfellas 75 vs 47 Blue Mountain State
Best
Goofellas - Kagawa, Fellaini, van Persie, Mertesacker, Evra, de Guzman
Blue Mountain State - Ba, Johnson, Nastasic, Ivanovic, Michu
Subs
Goodfellas - Snodgrass subbed on for Aguero
Blue Mountain State - Defoe subbed on for Rafael

And so after one win each from the two legs we must now look at the total scores of the teams, which means the winner of the first ever APL Cup, with an aggregate score of 115-111 to win by just four points is...

WOOOO!!! ;D

Unlucky jukes, was a very close finish!

Jukes

Villa have scored in 10 of their last 11 games in all competitions in the new year. What a surprise that when I need them to score they don't.

Anyway, congrats CF, you deserve it, I didn't deserve the win because my whole team pretty much spudded it over the fortnight (and the weeks before that).

Proud of Kagawa, Evra and Fellaini for their performances.

My Chumps

Congrats CF and BMS!

A tight finish in the end  :o

A close game worthy of a final!

What a cracker, and congrats to CF!

CrowsFan

Certainly a cracker game! Was sure I had lost it when Kagawa got a hattrick and Fellaini killed it!

At least I have a trophy considering doesn't look like I will even make the top 4 since I'm in 6th place with just 7 games to go...
