Depends entirely on the rest of the team make up... Personally I'm not Swan's biggest fan, so he's not a deal breaker for me. If you have 3 premo mids already and he would be a 4th then I would go option 2 - Embley and Ball to quickly make cash and provide early upgrade options (with 30 trades, you could afford a trade around round 5), Duffman I think will score well this year. But again depends on the rest of your backs :P

Summary - if you have Ablett and a couple other gun mids, option 2. If Swan would be your Ablett or one of the other 2 gun mids, option 1.
