Hello all I am new to SC and I have thrown this team together, please give opinions, constructive criticism is welcome and apologies for the cheesy title.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Rance, Howard, Goodes, Pittard, Docherty, Colquhoun

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Cotchin, Ball, Toumpas, Wines, O'Meara, Hrovat, Viney

Rucks: Naitanui, Leuenberger, Daw, Grundy

Forwards: Walker, Zorko, Rockliff, Martin, Byrnes, Stringer, Staker, Lee.

the backs - Rance seems a less common but not poor choice - will Chaplin take away some of his thunder thoug? Howard, just not sold on a Doggy player breaking out this year tbh.Would downgrade and spend your money on turning Ball into a real mid - just cant see bally avg more than 100.

Watch Naita - still recovering from groin surgery.

Byrnes - will he return to 2010 levels - doubt it would look and A cheaper option 100k less. Like ur confidence in Zorko - Rockliff certainly rewarded those who kept him year 2.

Cheers Lozza, would it be a good plan to have 5 defence rookies though and Is Grimes a good pick in Supercoach?

Yeah Kellogs Grimes is a good pick i think he'll need to push into the mids as Moloney is gone. The only thing on him is that he has had little niggles in the PS - otherwise give him a crack. I really also rate Hartlett - is an injury risk but he should crack the 100 avg  and be a safe top 5 defender.

I think as regards the rookie well u've gotta pick them where they turn up!

I don't think I'd feel comfortable with 5 rookies in defence, can't think of any capable mid-pricers off the top of my head. I'll probably just have Grimes in DT.

Kellogs - you could put Staker in defence and replace Staker with Macaffer. Would that make you feel less vulnerable?

Thanks that would, now on a second look the only first year player I have in the lineup for Defence is Brett Goodes, I'll most likely be doing a load of tinkering.
