Very, very rough draft. If I'm getting someone expensive I want to be super-sure they're keepers.
I'm happy to have so many midfield rookies, safest cows.
If my cheap rucks fail, I'll trade one out and shift Coxy in to save the day. I'm keen on both Collingwood rookies because I figure  one will succeed and the other is safety. (they only have Jolly, Hudson + 3 rooks) Tempted by Daw.
I reckon Clokey will be alright now that he's finished being a money-hungry slut.

Lakeyyyyy, can't resist chucking one of my boys (Stants, Lake and Cloke) in the like section when they appear in a team :P
Strong forward line, especially with two young guns in Daniher and Menzel sitting on your bench, and those two mid-pricers who should get you a fair amount of money; I'd wait on Gray, if he doesn't play NAB I'd trade him to Shannon Byrnes.

Plowman; for 40k less you could get Stevenson or Goodes who will score a lot better = get you more money
Tom Couch, there are rookie-priced players with more JS than this bloke! Unless you see something I don't, I'd consider dropping him, that cash could help.
Having three Pies players in your midfield may be harmful, wouldn't worry about it that much though.
Scotland is suspended for the first two weeks remember, I'd reccomend trading him to somebody with an easy first few weeks then trade him to Scotland when he returns.

Suggested Alterations
Plowman -> Stevenson/Colquhoun/Thurlow
Couch -> rookie (eg Tom/Kane Mitchell), as aforementioned, if there's something I don't see about him and you can point that out...
Scotland to another premium.

If you do those first two trades you'd have like 350k left to spend. I reckon upgrading Gray to a Stevie J-like character would be a good trade, and you can look to getting Robbie back in if he plays the NAB and performs well and is named round 1.

Great point about my premium rooks, I know stuff all about rookies so far so I just threw in the names I knew. Will be a bit of a luxury to get better rooks and save a few 100k.

I forgot about Scotland, tempted to go Heath 'never again' Shaw..

I have got wayy too many magpies, I may have to tinker with that.

I figured Bock would be healthy, may have to adjust.

After reading a bit around it appears that most of the good/safe rooks are mid and forward, so should I upgrade my backline so I don't have to stuff in trashy rooks?
