Couldn't make myself pick Goodes, and ROK is now a pure mid which is kinda annoying. Jack is another option, but didn't think he is worth the risk.
I'd stay away from Jack. He averages less against all of his first 11 opponents bar GWS than his '12 average.
Mark McVeigh OTOH is priced at 91 and averages more than 10 points higher against his first 8 opponents.
Bird averages a huge 25 more against his first four opponents than his '12 average. That's a smokey.

Nige

Returning the favour of rating my team. :)

DEF: Not much to complain about apart from the rookie listed players in Goodes and Colquhoun. They're fine if they get elevated, but obviously just watch for that in case they don't and be ready to drop them for another player around the same price.

MID: Great midfield. I love it. Embley and Ball should come good and generate cash so that's a win. Rookies are the obvious but right choices and you can't fault Swanny/GAJ/Cotch

RUC: Fairly standard starting duo, everyone seems to have different combinations for their bench rucks but they're fine.

FWD: Strong line actually. Don't like the NRoo pick, but I've read your reasoning and understand it. The rest of the picks here are sound, so really, I can't find much to change.

9/10

Windigo

Could do with another quality mid. But looks rock solid at this stage Q.

- Better than last years debacle.  :P

Thanks Nigey.

What are people's thoughts on Murphy? I rate him highly and at that price I am really considering him, I've never had Cotchin in my team but if I downgraded him to Murphy I could free up a lot cash. Then again, Cotchin is a very reliable player.

I'm stuck.

I definitely prefer Murphy over Cotchin, but many people would disagree with me...

Master Q

Thanks for your thoughts Ada. I'll fiddle with my team and see what I come up with.

tbagrocks

Same back four i'm looking at, I too am going Murphy over Cotchin at this stage, seem to get burnt by going the high price youngster i'll wait to see how he goes. Cotchin an upgrade target

At least all your forward line can get on the same bus from the nursing home each week ;D

Team 1.2
Changes I made -

Cotchin --> Murphy

This gave me a lot of cash, hard to choose where to spend it but ended up going

Goldstein ---> Sandi

It was between that and going Ball --> Premo MID

80k left.

Windigo

Don't think Pav is even playing NAB cup after some surgeries.

I wouldn't pick him.

Really? Never knew that. Will make a change then.

Mids just look a little weak Q, i know you want to take advantage of the mid rookies but i would drop Pav down to a rookie and bring in another mid

Yep I was thinking that. Who would you suggest I downgrade Pav to? Of course NAB cup matters but forward rookies seem thin. Will update team tomorrow.

Drop Pav to Varcoe and upgrade Ball?
Yep Ball looks like the likely candidate to be upgraded. Not keen on Varcoe though. Will look at it soon.
