MID: Ablett, J.Selwood, Murphy, ROK, Fyfe, Moloney, Simpkin, O'meara (Viney, Coqohoun)
RUCK: Cox, Leuenberger (Daw, Rowe)
FWD: Zorko, Rockliff, Martin, Cloke, Knights, Burns (Neade, Paparone)

I don't buy into the Newman hype.
Each to their own though.
Newman, Yarran and Tambling is way too much risk for me. If you want a mid pricer look at Atley, Jacobs or Ellis. Or just go to Pittard which i recommend.
Don't skimp on premiums is pretty much my only rule of DT, and you my friend have skimped on your premiums in Jelwood, Murphy, ROK and Fyfe. If you are having ROK for his early draw thats fine by me. Although yes this year you can start with say Jelwood if you think he will increase in price then turn him into a better premium like Swan or Boyd or Pendles etc and there is no concern about wasting a trade.
Neade and Paparone have questionable job security and scoring potential. You could potentially have no playing rookies on youre FWD bench early. Try and turn one of them into Macaffer.
Oh and you need to fix your mid rookies badly; K mitchell over Simpkin and Crouch/Wines/Lonergan over Coloquan.

I think I might downgrade tambling to pittard and use the $$ to upgrade newman to Heppel.

I like the look of Murphy this year and ROK is purely for his draw and finish to last year. I agree I might have to look at upgrading Jelwood or Fyfe to say a Pendles which I can do by downgrading simpkin to K.mitchel.

On Simpkin, I think young leaving the hawks has left a spot open to take on the wing and I have a good feeling about simpking, I'll just have to follow him through the NAB.

Rookies will reflect round one selections anyway so im not too concerned about that
