My Pre-Xmas Team - updated with modified strategy

Okay so after some tinkering here is my Pre-Xmas team.  I would love some feedback.

Backs: Brendan Goddard, Heath Shaw, Bryce Gibbs, Grant Birchall , Jasper Pittard, Sam Docherty (Tom Clurey, Dean Terlich)

Mids: Gary Ablett Jr, Scott Pendlebury, Patrick Dangerfield, Josh P. Kennedy, Luke Ball, Brett Goodes, Oliver Wines, Brad Crouch (Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney)

Rucks: Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger (Daniel Currie, Brodie Grundy)

Forwards: Lance Franklin, Dean Cox, Dale Thomas, Mark Le Cras, Travis Varcoe, Brent Staker (Tom Lee, Ben Kennedy)

I like this team, it has good balance.
Here are my recommendations.

1. Broughton instead of Birchall. At the Gold Coast he should return to his half back role with stints in the midfield and score like he used to. Lyon stifled his scoring at Freo as a defensive forward. Plus it allows the switch with Staker if needed.

2. If your going to have Cox as a fwd then you might as well have a rookie R/F on your ruck bench so Cox can act as ruck insurance. (McBean?)

3. Thomas had ankle surgery preseason so I'd go Rockliff instead. He has talked himself up as spending more time in the middle in 2013.

4. The spare cash would allow you to upgrade Ball or LeCras to a premium.  I'm a personal fan of Mundy going 105+ in 2013 with a full preseason under his belt.

I'm trying a slightly altered strategy.  I've tried to keep good balance, but have strengthened the midfield as it his line is usually the most difficult to get the absolute top guys because of their price & consistency.  I would love feedback on this team and it's strategy versus the previous team/strategy.
