Thought i might try to make a team different to the stock standard team to see if i can generate any discusion.

The forward line is looking strong , got 5 good backs and 5 premo mids. Sandi is training the house down in all reports and looks set for a big year.

What do you guys think?   Any players your looking at from the squad

Duffield Shaw Lake Watts Houli Staker (Docherty Terlich)
Stanton Deledio Redden Fyfe Mundy K.Mitchell T.Mitchell J.Omeara (L.Hunter, A.Morobito)
Sandi, Burger (Currie, Daw)
Robinson DeBoer Rioli Syliva M.Clark A.Christenson (Menzel, Lee)

KoopKicka

DEF: great backline, although Shaw isnt getting any younger, and Watts needs a link in the FWD line to compliment him Id go Shaw to Gibbs, other than that Houlis a great POD and I like Duff and Lake 8/10
MID: Love the first 3 picks, however Stanton is best used with the VC loophole, so maybe try nd get one of the big 4 in as well? Probably for one of the Freo guys (probs Mundy ans he isnt getting any younger)(Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Cotch) Great choice on rookies, however Morabito if he plays will only get you 65 ppg. 8.5/10
Rucks: Sandis an interesting pick, if he goes down your in trouble, and he isnt getting any younger, but he has a massive ceiling, pretty stock standard rest. 8/10
I actually love that forward line, Robinsons a great POD, as is DeBoer and Clark. Also Chrisso has been promised all MID time next season. Great rooks too, the only 2 selectins I question are Syl and Rioli, Syl will, I believe, be the main tagging target when he plays MIDS now Moloney is gone (feel free to correct me), and Rioli is great, if you love inconsistency. Id turn them into a Dusty Martin and a Gus Monfries. 7.5/10

Overall: 8/10 Great POD team, I actually quite like it.

yeah koop not my actual team but there are some things im looking at for my real team.

Duff Lake Christenson i like
Stanton im seriously consideringalong with redden. Mundy is currently in my team due to price

the whole forward line i think is worth looking at. i really tihnk stacking the forward line coudl be the way to go.

#3
Houli, Clarke and Robbo...really good PODS ...but unlikely to take the risk until their new team structures shake out.

I'm not sold on Lake or Clark, the rest looks great! So much value in the forwards, I want Cristensen, Rocky, Dusty, Thomas, Wright, Robbo, Zorko, De Boer, Lewis, Wellingham, Monfries (to make cash)  how in the world will I fit in the great man :o

Try putting those with DPP into your mids.
Have a really strong forward bench.
A backline of rooks.
Would be unique...but on the right day what a scoring machine... ;D

From that experimental team, I have the following premos/mid-pricers:

WARNING: *Freo biased*

Paul Duffield - Priced at 82, but averaged 89 without sub affected games. Also averaged a massive 102 when Broughton wasn't in the team. With another year of getting used to Lyon's gameplan, I think he can average 90+ easy.

David Mundy - Was averaging 106 in 2011 before he broke his leg. He had no pre-season this year, and still managed a 91 average if you remove his sub affected games. He is tearing it up in the pre-season, and should easily go 105+. I can honestly see him averaging similarly to Redden for 80k cheaper.

Aaron Sandilands - With 30 trades this year, you can afford to burn some... and if fit, Sandi will be a top 3 ruck. Still 50/50 between him and Goldy though.

Mitch Robinson - Absolute lock for me in 2013. He was averaging a flat 100 before his end of season injury, which has lowered it down to 92. No-one wanted to go near him last year, and he dominated (before his injury). He will strive under Malthouse and I can see him progressing to a 100-105 average.

Also seriously considering Stanton and Sylvia.

im thinking all 4. If goldy wasnt around would lock in Sandi.

Thhere is quite a few good backs down back which makes it hard. Broughts Duffman and hartlett will be fighting for d4.

picking the 4 forward premos is diffucult too.

Rocky locked in so 3 spots for SJ, Thomas, Rioli, Robbo, Christenson

GM

Holzy,i imagine SJ,Rocky,Thomas & Robbo are safe bets, with Franklin a later upgrade leaves 1 smokey.
The backs apart from Goddard,Gibbs,Grimes, with Scotland a later upgrade, are a toss of the coin,so just
running with 3 locks waiting for some signs.
Duff,Hartlett,Stanley,Broughton,Birchall,Hanley are all possibles but most havent shown history of being 95+.
Your thoughts mate.

Well im only going 4 premo forwards at hits stage and SJ Rocky Robbo Thomas is probably it.

Goddard Gibbs Grimes locked but Hartlett v Broughton at this tsage for me. Both i think should get mid time, Hartlett needs his body to hold up but he is a 95+ potential if it does. Broughton give him the correct role and he kills it.

Birchall i feel is more an upgrade target, along with Stanley.

Duffman i cant trust becasue of lyon.
