I am reading many peoples early draft teams for 2013 and most of you are kidding yourselves.

The magic number will be close to 5400, and when I calculate player averages using this number, I find that you need to leave close to 500k in the bank using Montys fanplanner numbers.

I say this because when SC opens and you go to fill your team in, you will be massively disappointed when the team you've been toying with doesn't fit.

Last year a senior listed basement price player was $113,200. So using Monty's baseline of $100k, your already over 100k down just there.

Genuine SC players will read this and say they already know this. If that's the case then why am I seeing so many teams on here that realistically won't work?

I'm sure most people realise that their teams will need to be adjusted once the correct player prices come out. They are just trying out different ideas at the moment.

Obviously, most people are just going for a base, half the time you will make a completely different team come lockout..don't see why you're getting worked up about it.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I'm not worked up, I'd just like to see people posting teams that are realistic.
I'm not bothered, I know the reality of what prices will be published.

Just want to help people post genuine sides. If anything, Monty should be better at providing genuine pricing. However, as a marketing ploy, he probably makes pricing softer to get more people logging on and playing with their side. Kudos to him.

If your genuine about what you would like to achieve in 2013, all I'm suggesting is to heed my warning of the fanplanner prices so you can manage your own expectations.

This is exactly why I wont bother making a team until official prices are released :P

I'll just make a team now and adjust when SC starts up again.
