Dont think you will afford that team come the release of the SC prices but for now its a very solid side. Only downfall is starting without Gaz or pendles

pieman

Hey Quinny, thanks for your reply.

Yeah, I had only 9k left over in fanplanner.....question is how much cap space one needs to leave free at this stage to create a realistic starting side? I am thinking of downgrading one of my premium defenders and putting Staker on field, and/or downgrading a premium forward to Bock. I played around by going Zaha-Bock and I now have 216k in the kitty......which is still short of the mark I'd say.

As for no GAJ.....I am torn.....not having him and his captaincy option can be a real headache (not to mention getting him into the side if he explodes early) but hes priced at a very high average even for him (138) and I think I read that he has had a slightly interrupted pre season? Outside him I see Cotchin/JPK/Pendles/Swan etc all on pretty level footing scoring wise

Think you need a week in week out captain option in Pendlebury/GAJ. Maybe Enright or Zaha to Bock to free up the cash. Other than that I like it, like Goldy in the rucks and Hanley as a back premium, hink he could really lift his game this year.

pieman

Yeah I know what you mean DMAC, I think its either GAJ or not, thats the issue. Hes undoubtedly the best SCer in the comp but I have a strong personal distaste for selecting players who are overpriced or have had niggles during the off season. Plenty of time to stew over it though I guess!

It is a nice looking team on paper. I think as has been said you need a first choice captain in the mids. GAJ, Pendles or Swan

I think you will have some issues in regards to DPP when they come out with Gibbs and Martin.

I also dont like Pavlich this(next) year

pieman

Thanks for your feedback Sydney. Care to elaborate on why you don't like Pav for next year? With Fremantles improving midfield depth Pav will surely spend more time up forward where traditionally he has scored best in SC.....plus one might assume that with better and more frequent supply (Im assuming Fremantle are on the upswing) he could even lift his average, despite being 30/31 now. Im aware of his age but he continues to play 20+ games a season and with less stress on his body from less midfield work I think he should continue to be durable. As for the DP concerns its a case of wait see I suppose
