who would you take in 2013?

Reason for putting this up is there are not many Round 12 Bye Premo Mids to choose from and i am considering one of these blokes

Torress

tough one!!

i'm voting swallow, but i just like the clearance specialists! jack aint bad at that but aint no.1 clearance man at swans - JPK is. jack a bit more outside than swallow.

Ringo

As Torress says difficult decision here.

Both Players 25 and both averaging in excess of 100+.  Both very durable with very few games missed over the last 3 years by either player,

Jack has shown improvement year to year with last year his best year yet whereas Swallow has maintained his average above 106 for the last 3 years.

Could not go wrong with either player. If pressed would probably go Swallow basically because of him playing more inside and getting his hands on the ball first whereas Jack is a little outside,

Have had Jack for the last 2 years in my team and have not been disappointed although a little similar to Goodes statistically he starts a little slowly for the first 4/5 rounds.

Plays GWS & GC in first 2 rounds Ringo should help his scores but yeah i was leaning towards Swallow but could justify starting both as North has a reasonably easy draw.

Adamant

Jack is tempting with GWS and GC in the first 2 games, but I would go Swallow out of the two.

ronl

I've had Swallow in a couple of my teams and while he can totally dominate games he can totally disappear in others.  Good taggers like Carazzo and Picken shut him down easily.  I'd go Jack, but neither will be in my team this year.

I actually dislike that as a draw- I'd far prefer to have 2 mediocre or hard teams the first 2 rounds, then GC/ GWS.

think about it, the 1st round has the least price impact for the first half of the season (only impacts one price change), and 2nd round has second least (only impacts 2 price changes), on top of that, you don't get a reasonable idea of their scoring ability- like they could average 150 over those 2 rounds, and then average 90 for the rest of the year.

and r1+2 arent league rounds, which is another downside.

just saying :P

I could have sworn that I read that North had the worst draw for 2013...

Anyway, on the issue, I'd say Jack. Had him before and he's done well for me. I might look to get him in for one of my rookies around bye time.

Capper

Jack the tackling machine for me, plus i think the Swans have a better draw then North

Here's the article that I read about North's draw. Pretty sure the AFL site had one on the subject too.

hmm guess i was wrong then lol guess i'm favouring Jack more now :)

I would probably go for Swallow just. Probably only because he seems to be the most dominate force in the North Melbourne midfield and he always scores well when they win. I think Jack can have his off days when the likes of ROK and JPK start to dominate the contest instead. Still that's a tough one..... toss a coin.
