Just a bit of an exercise for fun putting together a mock ladder for 2013. In my experience there is always one bolter no one expects, and one disappointment no one expects as well. The big mismatch I have with the bookies is Carlton, can't see how they are ahead of Collingwood, Adelaide, Fremantle and Geelong both to make the 8 and win the flag! I know there is the malthouse factor but they still don't have a key forward, and didn't change their list at all really over the summer.

I've put a break after the first 5, as I think they are clear ahead of the rest at this stage. And before the last 4, who I think are clearly behind the rest at this stage. I could see a chance for any one of the sides from 9-14 to possibly make the 8.

1. Hawthorn
2. Collingwood
3. Sydney
4. West Coast
5. Fremantle
---
6. Adelaide
7. Essendon
8. Geelong
---------------------
9. Richmond
10. Carlton
11. North Melbourne
12. Brisbane
13. Melbourne
14. St. Kilda
---
15. W. Bulldogs
16. Gold Coast
17. P. Adelaide
18. GWS

I generally agree with most of that but can't see Essendon making the 8 ahead of Richmond and Carlton tbh. I just think their a fraction behind.

Ringo

Will revisit at end of season but with the draw Brisbane have been handed this year expect them to finish 7th position as a dark horse.
