Hi guys,

This is my 3rd year, so i should know what I'm doing......

Here's my team:

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Gilbee, Russell, Stevens, Hunt, Waters
Subs: Maguire, Trengove

Midfield: Pendelbury, Selwood, Gibbs, Vince, Cooney, Trengove
Subs: Martin, Bastinic

Rucks: Tippett, Charman
Subs: Warnock, Lobbe

Forwards: Riewoldt, Pavlich, Higgins, Franklin, Murphy (dogs), Dangerfield, Gumbleton
Subs: Dennis-Lane, Tarrant (roos)

Ok, so I know my rucks are quite week and my midfield might have to much money in it but im just wanting any feedback?

Thankyou!

I think you hit it on the head the rucks are a huge problem, with Charman's game time very questionable.  The mids are amazing but the price is probably just too much and at least one will have to be downgraded to improve the ruck imo. Forwards look good just have to watch the health of the dogs pair and Gumbleton.

I think it's dangerous to back Hunt and Waters to play a lot of footy this year (-1) - and it's not like your bench players are guaranteed 22 games either.
I'm a Crows fan and I actually like Scotty Stevens (unlike some of our fans) but I could also see him getting dropped if he has a couple of bad games. There are guys like McKernan Sellar Davis Moran and Tahlia all chomping on the bit to get a permanent role in the backline. Jordan Russell is an interesting unique, could definitely take another step up if Carlton continue to improve (although without Fev I have my doubts). I don't think he's the best mid-pricer around but back your gut.
Obviously your midfield has fantastic footy players. But maybe it's better than it should be for SuperCoach. Historically it's been very possible to pick up a premium mid (there are a lot of them really) once they've dropped in price after a slow start.
So your midfield is stacked and the result is a 170000 player on the bench (-0.5) and no mid-range improvers which are hugely important (-1)
Charman is no guarantee for games or much TOG even if he plays (-0.5). I was tempted at first but I'm off him now, we'll look at NAB cup.
Decent forward line but I'm concerned about Higgins and soft tissue injuries although I could say the same about Rioli, Knights, Didak etc so may as well give him a go.
I don't like Rob Murphy as a pick. Almost all his good scores in 08 came against bottom 6 teams and he also has an extensive injury history. I don't think he'll return to 08 form personally. Still, he will almost certainly rise in price so it's up to you.
Starting Gumbleton seems risky (-0.5) but you already know that and risks must be taken somewhere.

My rating: 6.5/10

P.S. This is my second year playing Supercoach I can't remember my exact ranking in my debut season (09) but I know it was in the top 1000 which I was stoked with especially cos I was away from home for a couple of weekends mid-season and got hurt by a few doughnuts which could have been avoided.
So take my advice or don't, I think the most important thing in life and fantasy footy is to know when to stick to your guns and when to concede.

stevemac

you've taken some massive risks in your back and forward lines to have 5 gun midfielders.
