All that says to me is that Dawes has a lot of potential despite having a poor season in 2012.

My god people have short memories.

Capper

he did say a year and not next year.

I think he will play ok next year but it will be interesting when Clarke comes back

Mailman the 2nd

He's good, but to say he has the best potential is fairly stupid when there are guys like Cameron and Reid out there already

This is from a year ago...Don't get the hype with Sam Reid either (don't get me wrong I'm not bagging him).

Wups, probably should of looked for the date.

Centre Half forward is undoubtably the hardest position in AFL (at least I think so)

For a 19 year old (last year) to be able to show contested marking ability well above his years meant that he got the 5 year contract. This was against guys like Mcpharlin and Glass mind you. Swans also didn't really have a forward option so he was getting the big defenders.

Given, he is still a bit skinny and struggles in front of goal but to have a 19 year old kid kicking 2.5 in a game, I'm sure anyone would take a kid like that.

Plus he was taken at pick 38

Purple 77

Well, as long as Dawes doesn't do any ruck work whatsoever, I would be very happy if he kicked 40 goals! Let alone 100 lol.

key back is probably more difficult you'd think.... so many rules favour the forwards, it's hard to legitimately stop them from getting the ball.

Personally I think they're slacker to the defender now a days from like 6 or 7 years ago. Maybe it's just me but I see a lot of infringements not paid.

Chris Dawes was a premiership full forward, was going guns in 2011 before he got injured but still managed to just about win a Prelim final for Collingwood, and last year was playing out of position.

100 goals is a bit much, but 50-70 not beyong him.

Ricochet

only a select few have the ability to kick 100 goals, and Dawes is not one of them
