Majak Daw

Birthday - 11/3/91
194cm/95kg
Club - Nth. Melbourne (Yet to debut)
Fanplanner Price - $101,600

After an indiscretion saw Majak suspended indefinitely early in 2012, he rebounded to perform impressively for North's VFL affiliate. In 17 games he was named in the best on a handful of occasions, kicking 14 goals and averaging 5.2 tackles and 21.3 hitouts. His scores for the season were 29, 60, 70, 73, 96, 84, 125, 76, 98, 88, 76, 82, 101, 108, 85, 76 and 117 which makes for a very handy average of 84.9. Now that Daw has been upgraded to the senior list and moved up the pecking order thanks to the departure of Pedersen and H-Mac he has come into DT calculations for 2013.

From AFL.com - North football chief Donald McDonald told AFL.com.au on Monday Daw was ready to push for a senior spot in 2013.

"Majak had to earn the right to be elevated and he did that. His form in the VFL was really good," McDonald said. "We're really excited that he's finally now on our senior list. In terms of his fitness and knowledge of the game, he's ready to play senior footy now. But Majak will dictate whether he earns a spot or not."

Daw's elevation follows his impressive 2012 season with North's VFL affiliate Werribee. Daw's year got off to a rocky start when he suffered a knee injury and was then suspended from North in February for breaching team rehabilitation protocols and lying to coach Brad Scott about a night out.

Daw returned to play 17 games for Werribee and star in its preliminary final loss to Geelong. Daw had two goals, 23 hit-outs and eight tackles against the Cats' VFL team.

Was allready in team with the same thinking

Kellogscrunchynut

Love this guy, but would also love to be able to pick him without worry.

Scrads

Will definitely have a very hard look at him and is a decent chance to make my team if it looks like he will play some games in 2013 :)

Majak Daw can be my team's token black guy who'll get traded first.

Speculator

Like Witts, an injury to the number 1 ruck will make his stocks skyrocket. I think Jolly is likely to miss more games than Goldstein but along with Grundy and Daniher they both represent decent early options.

This is how it should work...

Start the season with Witts and Daw on the bench

Daw as your token black guy who gets traded first and but you have to Keep your Witts about you.
