Thoughts

Jared isn't really a player worth considering for you SuperCoach team in 2013. He doesn't get that much of the ball, he doesn't kick that many goals, he doesn't lay that many tackles, he doesn't really excel in any particular fantasy relevant stat. But I still have a niggling feeling about him. He has improved tenfold since his debut with the Crows, and with their improvement in 2013 he may just keep going with them.

It's unlikely he can improve to a point at which he becomes fantasy relevant, but his persistence is admirable and he is truly made of the right stuff. The risk to payoff ratio is still way off though. So don't touch him.

I was considering him for 2012 but luckily they made him a mid only and that ruled him out for me thankfully.

in 2011 he was a tackling machine and his attack on the ball was definitely in their top 5 every game I vaguely recalll ...

I agree. Petrenko is still young and has showed plenty and he has a lot of potential. Wouldn't pick him in my SC side just as yet though.
