Possible new club captains of 2013 and how it affects SC!

I found an interesting stat about how new captains go in there first year

Name - Avergae Year before captain - Average year named captain
Callan Ward 89 to 106
Matthew Boyd 106 to 115
Jack Grimes 78 to 88
Joel Selwood 111 to 117
Jobe Watson 101 to 107

What does this mean for Cotchin, Murphy, Ebert and Pendlebury who could all be named captain of their club? If they are named captain of their respective club, can they take it to the next level?
What are your thoughts? If Cotchin,Murphy, Pendlebury and Ebert are named captain will that mean you will pick them? Or does it make no difference.

Nice article! We can only hope the trend continues and that none of these guys Trengove on us as they're possible picks. I'm likely locking in Cotch and maybe Murphy, and I may look to Pendles and Ebert as well.

Ah i see now! Cherers JRoo. Yeh trengroves one probably was more influenced by the fact Sculley left.

Trengrove's was influenced negatively because they gave him the captaincy at too young of an age imo. Wasnt a great year for the dees all round though so he might bounce back.
Thats very interesting Jroo. Ill be picking Cotchin and Pendles regardless of captaincy or not but its just a little extra incentive

Interesting, Cotch and Pendles were always gonna be in my side anyway. I might have a little look at Ebert as a sneaky unique...probably wont have the balls though :P
