Fantasy career is over apparently

GEELONG star Jimmy Bartel is set to continue in his 'swingman' role in 2013 as the club ushers younger players into its midfield.

Bartel's possession tallies have been trending down since he amassed 702 touches, at an average of 28 per game, in 2008.

He averaged 27 possessions in 2009 and 26 in 2010, playing 24 games in both years.

But since then his numbers have dropped much further.

Last season Bartel averaged 22 disposals per game, and that figure dropped to 21 this year.

However, Geelong assistant coach James Rahilly is adamant that the figures are a result of his reduced game-time in the midfield, rather than reflecting a run of poor form.

Bartel and co will be replaced in the middle of the ground by talented youngsters including Mitch Duncan, Allen Christensen, Taylor Hunt and Jordan Murdoch.

Mr.Craig

Was still serviceable in 2011 but you'd be bonkers to pick him now.

I just posted this in the SC section. It may give him a dpp link which is what im hoping for

Hagebear

Had him in mind as a sneaky POD but definately not anymore. Will definately consider if he gets a dpp link. Which one is the question though?
